Another thing to bear in mind is no European competition for Leicester and they still haven’t really spent the ridiculous Maguire money. Wouldn’t be surprised if they strengthen in Jan ( Chelsea too now their ban has been lifted).

I don't think we'll make it ? Lestah are not going to go away that's clear and 15 points is huge now. I was hoping to take 4th from Ch£l$ki but sadly now they will spend big in January to secure a CL spot and we will spend fuck all as usual. And to top it all off, Manure has come into it now as well. Wolves away next weekend is massive.

The only silver lining is that we will play all of them at home in the reverse fixtures in the 2nd half of the season. But will that be enough...

We've given everyone a few games start before we have started to get in gear. Top 4 is not impossible, with the exception of Liverpool, the rest are all likely to have a wobble. With Jose at the helm, we still have a shot at reeling them in. It's not time to lose faith yet.

For me the encouraging thing is just simply that we have a chance. I thought we'd already blown it after some of those poor results.

Fair but the gap is significant and realistically only 4th is up for grabs. Three teams are competing for that slot and we’re bottom of that mini league right now. This season is write-off.

Do Wolves need to win their Europa League game on Thursday? Hopefully they'll put out a strong team.

EDIT: Actually wait scrap that, they've already qualified haven't they ?

I think we'll find at the end of the season that we left the Pochettino sacking too late. Credit to the board for getting the right man in to replace him, but it all should have happened at least 4 weeks before it did. We're really going to feel those dropped points against the likes of Watford and Brighton towards the back end of the season.

If they don't win the group they risk playing CL dropouts.

Agreed. Only one place realistically available, and we've got to reel back 6 from Chelsea as well as beating off the challenge of a resurgent Utd. I'd still only give us a one in three or four chance, but it's a lot better than a few weeks ago.

Three way race for the final CL spot with Chelsea and Manchester United.
Liverpool and Leicester are too far ahead. While I dont think we can take City neither, maybe if we were level on point ..
I am sure we will hold everyone that is below us there, and confident we will overtake Wolves.

Tielemens, Perez and Praet cost £90m+, so wouldn't say they haven't

Chelsea and United are always capable of dropping points (likewise us). Beating Chelsea is imperative, though. It really is a must win game.

Well flip me over and call me Judy, that is one gloomy post. If you need a definition for gloomy, you are it man. Another way to look at it is that if Chelsea can beat us with 6 points overall over 16 matches in what is the worst Tottenham league start in over a decade, then I'd say it's not farfetched to imagine the reverse over the last half of the season. I'm not saying we are making it into top 4, or indeed that we should start talking about it, but I am saying, that was one gloomy post.

And he probably wouldn't play for us with same reasons as Ndombele and Lo Celso don't.
Fully disagree, although I recognise that we are bordering a highly hypothetical topic with no proof. But Tielemans was for certain a possibility for Spurs before he moved to Leicester, which as we remember was a year ago. I really wanted him to Spurs and in fact in December last year I was so certain he would move to Spurs. There is the argument, although I understand you are no fan of it, that a player who by now had been with us hypothetically for a year would have been an asset. But again, these are really just musing and knowing Spurs, Tielemans would have gotten a career ending injury in January 2019.

I thought Tielemens was bought in the previous window? Although I take your point that they were spending the Maguire money as they knew all along Utd would pay up.

Tielemans pisses me off. He should have been playing for Spurs, and even more so as we now know Ndombele and Lo Celso are not playing
Tielemans is a good player but I think he's close to his ceiling. Ndombele could be a world beater. We've seen glimpses of it already. Lo Celso has massive talent too, could take a bit longer for him to get used to premier League though
