We started this morning in fifth place with four teams who could go above us playing today.
So far three of them have played and none of them succeeded in going above us, we are still fifth just one to go so not a bad day eh? :)
Apologies for quoting myself but with the United result all four teams have played and we are still in fifth place. A most extraordinarily fine day. (y)

Looking at that table, there should be no let up in climbing quickly. Squad wise we are better than the majority around us. As long as that defence gets sorted out (maybe January) we will get Top 4 (and at least be ahead of Leicester FFS).

Leicester were F’ng lucky today. I really weren’t impressed. VAR in their favour again. Can’t last, surely?

Would love Leicester to win it this season somehow. Imagine the seethe. I could actually enjoying watching it this time around as well..!

For us, good weekend. Bring on UTD.

I'd rather Man City get their finger out and go onto win it.

Leicester result and how it happened pissed me off but it's been an excellent weekend in all other respects. Hope Villa's performance at OT gives them some confidence going to Stamford Bridge. We could be three points behind Chelsea on Thursday morning. Or back to nine points.

Leicester got a fortunate VAR decision against us which gave them an extra 3 points as if we'd have gone 2 nil up we'd have gone on to win that game and they got an extra 2 points today as the goal was flagged offside and overturned by VAR.

That's an extra 5 points that before VAR they wouldn't have got, their good fortune with close decisions cannot continue, I hope.

That winning goal was onside. If it was us who scored and the lino flagged we'd all be fuming. That's where VAR works.

Not sure why it is a problem for people to point that we have played 5 of our 7 away games against the best in the league.

Sometimes teams have surprisingly good or bad starts but once you see who they have played it makes sense.

We have a lot of work to do but the fact that 5 of the hardest games are behind us can only be a good thing.

lt has been out easiest games on paper that have tripped us up this season though

too much crystal ball gazing going on right now

If we can tighten our defence and stop conceding so many shots on goal I would have more confidence we won’t slip up when we shouldn’t at some point

early days with mourinho so let’s hope that we can tighten up

2 points per game from the rest, not an easy task, and we get 68. Might be enough pending a lot on Chelsea. Win both fixtures against them and we have a good chance.

No different to Auriers, except they ruled his out ffs.
Well yes of course that was wrong, but their one today was called correctly. Those using VAR are very inconsistent. Take yesterday for example. Sanchez handball is spotted and a goal disallowed, a few hours later Southampton player handles the ball in the build up to a goal and not been ruled out.
