I’m pretty sure we’ll be fine but as others have said, if we do get into a battle, I don’t fancy these players to drag us out of it.

If as expected, we lose to Everton we are in so much trouble

Fancy Ipswich, Everton and Wolves to all pick up points more than us over the next couple of months.

That Leicester home game is going to be a genuine six pointer.

There are two game I expect us to win, the others I really wouldn't back us (Leicester, Southampton)

We are in the shit. He will keep playing like this and we will keep losing
And there's a clear blueprint (and has been for about a year) of how to set up against us and all these teams at the wrong end of the table will follow it to a T. They'll all sit back, hold us at arm's length and try to nick something on a counter or from a corner or set piece. We only smashed Saints (our only win since November) because Russell Martin thought he knew better.

It’s funny you say that about Russell Martin cause I don’t see much difference between how his Southampton set up and we do under Ange. Only difference is Ange has much better players than what Martin did. That was used as an excuse for Martin that if he had better players it would work, well we’re seeing what it looks like with better players and it’s still not fucking working.

I’m not sure if my memory is right here. Anyway. The Forest team in 92 that were too good to go down? They went down right. Wasn’t that the year they sold Teddy and didn’t replace him properly ? Starting to see the similarities? That was also the season iirc that Keane couldn’t believe at the lack of effort with his then teammates?

IF and it’s a if that gets bigger with every shit result we get dragged in to a dogfight then this current bunch would be useless. They’d be too busy looking at their own exit strategy V putting the effort in.

what a miserable state of Affairs Levy has lead us down. And i include the decision to hire Ange, should never have been the guy. Lovely bloke, great way about him. But way out of his depth at this level.

Unfortunately have to agree with this, we are in proper trouble right now, if we lose the Everton match Ange might need to go because we will be well in a relegation fight by then and injuries or not, being in a relegation battle is ofc totally unacceptable.

The championship is way more entertaining anyway

It would be genuinely interesting to see what happened if we did get relegated.

I assume that we'd basically hold on to most of our players and aim to absolutely smash the league and come back up like Juve did, but it does make you think - the Championship is an insanely tough league - we'd be a massive target - might be more like a Blackburn than a Juve.

In a perverse way I'd be interested to see it happen, but I hope to God it doesn't as it would break my poor old dad's heart.

Our owners have a lot to answer. But with our squad we should be nowhere fucking near where we are in the league, and a big part of that is Ange's fault.
We all saw the squad before the start of the season and no-one was expecting it to be this bad. It’s not the squad strength that has us where we are, it’s part of it but the real answer is how we are set up and play.

It wouldn’t be interesting at all. It would be a disaster

I thought we’d be a mid-table side last season. Was pleasantly surprised, and then of course thought we’d improve on it. I was sadly a year early with my expectations (which aren’t being met…).

Who do you replace him with? I’m all for it but who comes in? Southgate?

it’s a scary situation. teams around/below us have changed managers and are on a slightly positive momentum. can see us being right above the drop soon

If we sacked Ange the best we'd be able to do is an interim manager until Summer. Don't think there are any "free" managers who really fit our profile, and there's absolutely no chance someone like Iraola leaves for us when we're scrapping in 14th place. Sadly I think we have to reluctantly persevere with Ange until Summer.

I genuinely don't think we'll get relegated and expect us to finish well clear of the drop once we have some players back, but it is fucking frightening just how poor we've been in the league this season even before our defensive crisis.

The fact that this is even a thread on here just shows you how far we have fallen. And some are still backing the board and/or the manager.

Honestly, Levy needs to go. Ange needs to go. Half the squad.

It is fucking tough being a Spurs fan for the thirty-odd years I’ve been doing it, but this is pitiful bordering on apathy.

I’m actually not joking. I’m seriously concerned - I can’t see us getting anything from the Everton game.
Come on mate, I understand people are always down after a NLD defeat but you seriously can't see us getting anything from the Everton game?

Against a team that haven't scored in nine of their last eleven league games o_O

Yes they'll have a new manager bounce but I'm confident we'll get a result over there

It’s not just the NLD that’s got people concerned about the Everton game. It’s the 0-0 in 90 against Tamworth, the loss against Newcastle, draw vs Wolves, loss vs Forest, hammering vs Liverpool and so on.

One good performance in the cup vs Liverpool doesn’t wash out how bad the vast majority of our recent performances have been.

We’ve lost games and dropped points in games like Everton away all season with little to point to that changing at the minute. Whilst Everton haven’t scored in 9 out of 11 games, Ipswich hadn’t won a game yet, Crystal Palace hadn’t won a game yet and we still contrived to deservedly lose those games. Let alone all the others we’ve lost.
