Leicester have played 7 games without picking up a point and in those games they've scored 2 and conceded 18. Honestly if we can't beat that at home then we deserve to be flirting with a relegation scrap.

That said, a win against them could make a huge difference because all the teams below us and the 2 or 3 above are all playing top half teams:
Code:
 12. Crystal Palace 27 BRE (H)
 13. Manchester United 26 FUL (A)
 14. West Ham United 26 AVL (A)
 15. Tottenham Hotspur 24 LEI (H)
 16. Everton 20 BHA (A)
 17. Wolverhampton Wanderers 16 ARS (H)
 18. Ipswich Town 16 LIV (A)
 19. Leicester City 14 TOT (A)
 20. Southampton 6 NEW (H)
We could easily be the only team among that lot to win (other outcomes not being considered). The must-winnest game of them all.

Don’t think we would need 40 points, the bottom 3 plus Wolves are all pretty bad this season, 35 might be enough.

We are absolutely woeful but we should be ok because there are 3-4 teams who are even worse than we are.

You say that... but of those 3-4 teams (assume you mean Wolves, Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton) that are supposedly "worse" than us... so far this season we've only beaten ONE of them! We lost AT HOME to one of them, and only managed draws in the other two!

Leicester.. we were at full strength (yes we battered them but the history books says draw) and for the Ipswich loss, only VdV was missing from our strongest XI. I reckon we're "currently" as bad as 3 of those 4 - with only Southampton being worse.

After this season ends we need to lock this thread, send it to Musk and fucking send it to Mars and forget it ever happened.

Purely theoretical of course, but humour me, say we go down but somehow manage to win a trophy (wouldn’t put it past this club!) how would a European campaign work alongside the championship schedule?! Those guys seem to play every midweek as it is!

We would probably have a massive injury crisis! But, I take your point.

Wigan had to do it after the won the FA Cup and went down. It is possible.

Dr Tottenham will see Leicester on Sunday. 2pm appointment.

I couldn't think of anything worse than having to juggle EL/CL with a 46 game (minimum) Championship schedule. Looking at a 60+ game season with other domestic comp's.

On paper you'd think we have enough points and quality to steer clear of the relegation places, but poor form and morale can start to weigh on the players if we don't start picking up a couple of points. I'm just dreading an injury to Kulusevski or Solanke being out for too long.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but on the Tottenham Way podcast, Marcus Buckland said he was on the BBC sport website and the "super computer" as he described it, presumably some Opta based prediction tool, had us at a 0.1% chance of relegation and around 17% chance of finishing 12th or something like that. 11% for 8th I think it was.

Just thought I'd throw that out there

Beat Leicester and I think we’ll all breathe a huge sigh of relief and confine this thread to the history books.

Fail to win and we could be facing the biggest scrap since 2003

Results going our way so far, Ipswich and Southampton losing, just need Brighton and the gooners to do us a favor...

That lot down the road down to 10 against wolves and Everton 1 up. Everton only a point behind us if that result stays the same

Especially as the majority of our players would be looking for exits and Levy would be looking to massively scale down the wages bill...
Don't worry it won't happen though

Not good, can’t believe some individuals on here do not believe we are in the relegation scrap 😔
Tomorrow will tell us alot. I genuinely believe if we don't win I think we have to consider ourselves in a scrap. That's not to say by end of March we are out of it if we get players back and get a run of 3 or 4 wins in in 6 or 7 game period but when you average a point a game for a long period of time then you're in one

Southampton are gone. I doubt whether Ipswich or Leicester are going to pick up another 10 points before the end of the season. I suspect we are almost safe already. Relax.

We’re not in one, Lose tomorrow and we’ll be in one, if we win we go 11 points above the bottom 3 with our players starting to come back.
