Question for all Spurs fans...

If we go on to win the Europa League, are Poch and the rest of the players fully forgiven?

I know we are all frustrated and dissapointed after last night, myself included. However, say we beat CSKA and drop into the EL...

Genuinely interested to know what the fans think about this...

with the EL Poch will definitely rotate to try and keep players fresh for the PL especially if we still have a chance of top4 by the time the KO's start. he might change it if we got as far as the semi's but not holding out much hope.

to be totally honest I don't think he will field a very strong team v CSKA with another tough away trip the Sunday after

If he is going to take it serious and play the best team then lets go for it. If he's going to rotate then its a waste of time and energy and we can do without it.

Good stuff. EL is winnable, well by our first XI playing at last seasons intensity, whereas the CL isn't.

I'd rather we won the EL than qualify for the CL again. Luckily if we do we do.

As much as I want to win a trophy and would be delighted to win the Europa, you wouldn't forgive your missus cheating on you just because she let you have a threesup with her fit mate.

As soon as i read this post i was waiting for the speak for yourself (from my
Perspective...Speak for yourself)
Considering this board and the pervs we have on it, this has got to be up there with the worst analogy going. :ROFLMAO: Made me chuckle

Personally not interested in Europa as I feel the league is there to be won this year (granted we will need to SIGNIFICANTLY improve on our performances so far)

Obvious answer really, seeing as either way we were never going to win the CL if we win the next best thing of course they'd be 'forgiven'!! We've not won anything significant since 1990! I'd fucking dance naked in the streets if we won the Europa league.

Ultimately it's about winning trophies so it would make up for it for me.

Assuming we finish 3rd and go into the Europa League, do we get to reselect our squad or are we restricted to the same players that we nominated at the start of the Champions League?

In the case of the latter, it may be difficult for Poch to field a team of inexperienced players, for Europa League games.

My biggest frustration with our participation Europa League most seasons has been the way in which the squad has been rotated. For example, when we play away in Russia and start half the main XI, along with weaker / less experienced players, only to bring three other key players on in the second half in a late attempt to win the game. This results in almost our entire XI being more fatigued and less prepared for the subsequent league match. We would be much better off either starting with a strong team (not necessarily our very best XI, but fairly close to it) and taking key players off once the job is done, or fielding an entirely weakened XI and accepting that performances may suffer.

If we are attempting to win (assuming everyone is fit), I would consider changing one FB, one CB (e.g. Toby + Wimmer) and one of the three AMs, as a maximum. Starting Kane would be a must. Any more changes than this and we may as well put out a full second-string team.
