I don't see how it could be a penalty when the ball was volleyed at him full pelt from an inch away, also his hands were in front of his body so the ball would have still hit him. I know QPR need anything they can get at the moment but the constant calls for penalties etc is very annoying.

We did well to win that, it was always going to be a scrap when their intention was just to hoof the ball at our defenders. We still managed some nice passing moves, counters and showed plenty of heart. A good days work imo!

Maybe becuase of the stats at the other end, I wonder how we compare to our rivals for defensive properties... there's usually a reason to complain :/
We're 3 points off 3rd place. That was our 47th game of the season so far, more than any other team. It's Poch's first season in charge and I'm more than happy. I was expecting a mid table finish but to be 3 points off fourth having played most of our games against the other top 6 sides is remarkable really. Sure we may end up 6th or 7th, but whatever happens it's been a good effort this season.

I can't find any reason to complain, but yes, others will find plenty of reasons to complain.

Good and hard earned three points. Gritty win with an amount of luck but what side doesn't run into a bit of that?

I'd start the same eleven at Man Ure, and i truly think that if we play to our potential we can get a win.

Fuck LVG, the dope smoking prick.

I don't doubt your sentiments, but we have been defending horrendously from game one, and that's continued to game forty seven. There is nothing wrong with pointing out the bleeding obvious.

Did make me laugh the QPR fans calling for handball every time the ball went near the upper body of one of our players. Proper desperate.

Yep I think we have a good chance to make it 3 wins at their place in a row, the pressure will be all on them on the day. With a full weeks rest for once I think we have every reason to be confident.

We can give goals away all day long as long as we score more. We've always been like that and I doubt it will change anytime soon although it would be nice to win a game comfortably for a change.

Havent checked the thread, but did you hear the commentator say:

Onouhas got a long one on him (for their throw) lol.

Relatively, who is having/ had the better breakthrough season for Spurs - Kane or Bale?
The way the comm pronounced his name made me think he was saying "Manure"

How do you expect to win a game "comfortably" when your team is conceding as many goals as Aston Villa?

The best thing about playing manure these days is you are guaranteed to get space all over the park as LVG sets them up to use the whole pitch (not compact).

Suits us to a tee.

Yes I was clamouring for Dembele at halftime, but that wasn't a good cameo from him.
I would like to hit him with a stick. He slows down every single attacking move. He always stops and pirouettes, passes sideways or backwards. He loses possession. He doesn't shoot. He doesn't score.

Ridiculous how well we've been playing from approx. round 16 and onwards. The first 10-12 matches of the season really is what keeps us out of the race for the title! If we'd had the same steam throughout the season, only Chelsea would have been ahead of us now.

That's so.

We gained 17 points from the first 12 matches (1.42 points/game), 7 points from the next 4 matches (1.75 points/game) and 26 points from the last 12 matches (2.17 points/game).

2.17 points/game sustained over 28 games corresponds to 60.67 points, which would put us in 2nd place.

What's striking is that we were 7th after 16 matches and we're 6th after 28 matches, so it's not as if our improved form has rocketed us up the table.
