That would be a bit much! Funny, but a bit too much.

I could understand it if the big clubs were all being punished equally severely but in my opinion it would take the piss if QPR go to the conference and Man City and Chelsea are allowed to continue to exist. Yes I know the rules and I know that technically City/Chelsea are going to be fine but it wouldn't sit right with me.

It's been Levy's plan all along, they'll go down to the conference, the players will revolt, and they'll be forced to sell Sandro back to us for pennies :)

If it was to happen how can that be right whilst the likes of City and Chelsea continue to perverse the rules at will!

well I think it IS fair.
Play the money's game and you can't pay the fine, this is what will happen. Of course I feel sorry for the fans but so be it.

On a side note, Shaun Harvey has a very fat neck.

Because they Paid their fines. QPR might not. Purely hypothetical of course because you can bet that the FFP commision will happily accept 5m rather than get nothing

If it went to court I don't see the FA winning. QPR didn't even get a vote on these rules and had slim chance of being able to comply unless they sold their whole squad and started again. They'll pay a small fine (£5m as Col said).

Otherwise I can see Premiership clubs voting for no relegation.

QPR will offer them £10-15mil out of court and it'll all be forgotten about.

It is quite amazing that the Premier League is now sandwiched between two sets of regulations (the one below apparently quite tight and something the FL are looking into upholding, the one above... yeah, not so hard-etched), yet the PL itself hasn't explored steps to reign in spending like some clubs do. Rather precarious situation for all clubs involved as one amazingly good or one amazingly bad season after a big spending spree could, literally, fuck that club in the bottom.

Obviously you wouldnt see City getting relegated but would they be threatened with conference football? I very much doubt it. But you are right i am sure they would except something rather than nothing.

The FA and Premier League need to get together and make any new players contract over a certain amount (say £20k) be forced to take a 40% pay cut if relegated. This will stop the need of parachute payments. Will stop clubs being forced to sell off half their squads and will make teams that are looking like being relegated play their bollocks off.

We were so lucky that levy had his head screwed on. Harry will just keep buying players until the team bus looks like a clown car.

The article says "If they are relegated" and says nothing about if they do not. So what will happen if they manage to finish outside the relegation zone this season? They will be allowed to continue in the prem?

Yes

According to the two season ticket holders in my office, it's much more Hughes than Redknapp. And they aren't Harry fans.

that's doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

It's really simple. The rules they have broken are Football League rules, if QPR stay up they won't be in the Football League so the rules wouldn't effect them. Only if QPR are relegated would this effect them as they then be a Football League club again.

Think of it as if Uefa made a rule for teams in European competitions, that all players have to have mustashes. This will not effect West Ham cause they are shit.

If they somehow managed to get into Europe, their palyers would not be allowed to shave.

The whole idea that FFP punishments are fines is fucking laughable though, penalise them with points dedutions thats the only way it will ever work.
