This is true, ever buggered ourselves a bit now.If we removed VAR.... people would then moan over every decision saying VAR might have changed it.
we need to embrace technology, we need to embrace change. IMO... most of the stupid ones are due to human error (i.e. liverpool, or the bayern's disallowed goal)
there is no winning. its just making things "less shit" and we all know... shit happens.
We do however have goal line tech which works perfectly and also semi automated offsides could be good if they work well and quickly.
As for the other things VAR is being used for, as Ange says the game is being referred elsewhere and no longer at the ground by the ref.
Also it was brought in for clear and
obvious errors but it’s being used for the most minuscule and 50/50 of decisions, if it was only used for clear and obvious errors then the time taken to review and make the decision should be very quick as it would be a ‘clear and obvious mistake’.
Right now as it is I’d scrap it but if it can be worked properly and as it was intended then fine.
