Sounds like the trial of the "8 second rule" from PL2 is going to be law by 2026. If you're not familiar with the trial a GK has 8 seconds to put the ball in play or else the opposition gets a corner kick (instead of the crazy indirect free kick). The ref will count down visually from 5 to 0 with their hand.

Personally I think it will be a good change.
I'm up for anything that cuts down on timewasting.

Players pretending to be injured next - the Ipswich game was a total piss take.

The Ipswich game was a classic example of how in the EPL the game is now played across 4 quarters rather than 2 halves with players feigning injury bang on the midway point in each half and all their teammates running over for a chat with the manager in a manner which makes it so obvious that it was pre planned.

That needs stamping out.

It really annoys me - totally disrupts the play, waste 10 minutes per half, get maybe 3 added on at the end.

If they actually enforce it unlike the six second rule then it's all good.
I think we all know what will actually happen.

It’ll be enforced at the referees discretion. It’ll be done inconsistently, and arbitrarily. Sometimes even in the same match.

I know Ange won’t have it but Forster should have gone down with cramp in last 5 mins v Roma. Just kills the momentum for a couple of minutes. Raya does it frequently if Arse are winning but surprisingly not if losing.

I don't actually mind a (small) amount of it - it's gamesmanship and part of the game now. I think Vic went down briefly in the City game, Hugo used to turn a straighforward catch into a dive to the floor as well.

What annoys me is when it's a major part of a teams arsenal (pun intended) where they are doing it not to relieve a bit of pressure but from pretty much the first minute.

The keeper taking an age, swapping who is taking the throw in, changing who's taking the corner kick, players feigning injury (you always know because the physio makes no effort to come on or waits forever to do so).

I do not pay a grand a year for a ticket, plus all the other expenses and hassles to watch that sort of nonsense for 90 minutes. The refs could sort this, but they point to their watch to say they've seen it but then blow up on time. They might book the keeper who's been at it all game, but usually only in the 85th minute plus.

This might have touched a nerve!

Can't wait for keepers to start doing this:

Can't even play in a bit of wind, the game (and wider society) has gone. Wouldn't happen in Norway

Shame. I was looking forward to this. Likely to be the only game I see all weekend.

But that storm looks serious....

It's more to do with people being killed on their way to/from the game.

Secure your property like people do in countries where they're used to a bit of weather.

(I'm only being slightly facetious)

How do you secure trees and shit in Norway?
Too many to secure, just tell people to use common sense and watch where they walk.

No seriously I get that this is a proper storm and has to be taken seriously, 100 mph wind gusts are no joke. But I've always been slightly baffled by how badly prepared the UK is when something hits whether that be storm or snow, because they aren't that uncommon occurrences.
