Funnily enough he was refereeing the Liverpool vs. Villa game on Saturday and I remember thinking he'd had a good game.
And he didn't give villa peno which most people think he should have.
Feeds into the pool as victims mentality when it comes to premier League

The T-shirts are being printed as we speak.

Although tbf, what a fucking idiot even saying that out loud, let alone allowing yourself to be recorded.

I’m sure the sort of thing Coote has been filmed saying about Klopp is said by the refs to one another on a regular basis - how could it not be? Some managers treat them like dirt.

I’d expect that to be the end of Coote’s career, but nothing he’s said is wrong. I’m sure Liverpool fans are combing through the records to find all the games Coote was ref/VAR in the years City pipped them to the title.

There’s facial ticks etc that absolutely look to be deep-fake AI. Of course the twitter mob are all declaring it is real because he’s been suspended pending investigation.
If it was fake surely he would have told them that and they wouldn't need to suspend him?

Remind me.....

There was a nonsense decision that involved him and us wasn't there?

Relatively recently?

Well, he'd still have to prove that, otherwise anyone could say that if there's a video of someone who's transgressed.

Absolutely they would have to prove it was real or not but suspending him while carrying out the investigation feels a bit heavy handed. Surely you don't have to suspend him while conducting an investigation, could just say he isn't eligible for selection while this is ongoing.

Agree it's unfair on him while it's been investigated as it could be AI/Deepfake but I think he would get pelters from all angles when refereeing a game while the investigation is ongoing so thats probably why they've done it.

Don't disagree mate at all but there's a way of saying it without saying he's suspended. Just say he's unavailable for selection, that's a lot less evocative.

Let's see what comes out, when I first saw it I immediately said it's fake but it's the suspension piece that has me thinking there is something in it

He did our match with Brighton in October, 2-0 up and lost 3-2 if that helps ?

My first thought was AI too. People need to remember it’s a different world now, and you can’t believe anything you see on social media.

I don’t think it’s unfair to suspend him while they investigate as they have to ensure they investigate and having him involved in games would be awkward. Harsh for him, but due process must be followed.
