Very few positives for Ipswich and Southampton after 8 games. Ipswich looked good against Villa a few weeks ago but have followed that up with two really poor results. Southampton just continue to find ways to lose.

My Ipswich ST holder brother is already fed up of this season and wants to go back to the Championship. I warned him of this a year ago and suggested they would be happier losing out on promotion narrowly and then having a similarly free-scoring season again this season but he was full of optimism that Ipswich would succeed where Burnley et al have failed. Now he’s bemoaning all things EPL from the stadiums to the ticket prices to VAR.
