Results and data contradict me, but I remain thoroughly unconvinced this Villa team/squad/set-up is legit one of the best 4 in England.

They look off it today - coming off the big result against Bayern. But, they are a good side.

Zirkzee is going to need to learn to play quicker and keep his head up to make a success of it in the prem. Everything is so ponderous and clumsy at the moment.

he's very technical but my thought was he lacks the mobility for the PL

I am thinking perhaps Mainoo was hyped a bit too much as the next great CM... he is pretty average, imo.

I still think he's very talented but is already being ground down by whatever power it is that sucks the life out of almost all United players. And I'm not only talking about ETH's coaching, this has been going on for 10 years now.

Garnacho is the only one who sort of seems immune to it.

In that one counter I was more annoyed from United's point of view that Antony didn't charge full throttle down the right to help out, like Zirkzee clearly thought he was or should.

That was pathetic non effort for someone who's been on the pitch all of 15 minutes.
