I’d love us to properly throw the game, disrepute level stuff. Ange playing himself up front, levy in goal and Doris the tea lady pulling the strings in midfield. I want the strip to be clown costumes or mankinis and I want the score to be at least 20. Let’s make history.
Yep, may even need to recall Tanguy for this one.

Brighton, West Ham and Tottenham wins please.

Or if that is too much a Tottenham win will be fine

Ideally our team would be.

George Clooney
Bernie Mac
Brad Pitt
Elliott Gould
Casey Affleck
Scott Caan
Eddie Jemison
Don Cheadle
Qin Shaobo
Carl Reiner
Matt Damon...

If all goes well we may be allowed to put 12 out next match ;)

I didn't listen to the commentary either. Took a look as Chris Sutton suggested it was a blatently dive. My view is Havatez instigated the contact and was on his way down before the minimal touch happened.

Should be exactly what var should be helping to crack down on but seems to encourage.
O'Hara and Agbonlahor get criticized a lot for their 'intelligence' but here they show they understand the game far better than referees and VAR whilst also highlighting that it's the rules that are encouraging diving for the smallest of contact. Also quite interesting that they mock the state of defending these days and the over reliance on ball players rather than actual good defensive ability.

I'd like to apply for a place on the bench - With a dodgy ticker and a gammy knee I still think I would make a good impact sub for about the last 20 . . . seconds. I'd do it for free btw.

So why have VAR then. It’s either there to correct mistakes by advising the referee he may have made a mistake. Otherwise we don’t need it because at the moment it seems to exist to back up whatever decision the referee makes regardless if it is correct ir not.
I was heavy advocate for VAR as I was getting fed up of poor decisions and it SHOULD have prevented cases of bias or refs being swayed by crowd etc.

Basically the Fergie days of applying huge pressure in refs should have been gone.

Unfortunately, this isn't the case.

Refs and the VAR officials are often over analysing stuff with the intention of finding a fault or brushing over stuff, they seem to then be trying new rules but then not applying them across the board.

The whole thing is an absolute mess and hasn't gone how I'd anticipated it.

Thing is, without VAR we'd still be here every week saying these ref's decisions are nonsense.

Agree but at least the Refs won't be hiding behind VAR as they are at the moment.

And everything feel so arbitrary. They might as well be flipping a coin on where they draw the line on things.

Thought we saw an excellent example of the VAR room not knowing how to do their job on Chelsea's first goal against us. They were ready to rule out the goal for offside on Cucurella because they thought he obstructed Brennan. Then they identified him as onside and went on to check the very same obstruction ... and suddenly it's not enough to disallow the goal. So which is it, an obstruction or not? Surely, it can't be both?

When they manage to contradict themselves within a single situation, you know something is very wrong with how this thing is set up.

3-0 after 37 minutes. West Ham are on the beach.

Rule No 11. Never expect any other team to do Spurs a favour. It never happens.

I'm not watching it because eugh but this made me laugh. West Ham thought they'd try their hand at a bit of defe... oh Chelsea scored again.

It could be worse than the Arsenal result at this rate.
