Bamford's such a strange striker, can do what he has done tonight but can look terrible for the large majority too.

I think it’s because most strikers have either pace or power and he has neither really but if you give him time and space, he has very good technique that can hurt you.

Villa were the last team able to beat our 60-YEAR OLD RECORD of 11 opening win sequence in the top tier division from 1960-61 season.

11 wins in a row from the opening game is even the record for the "big 4" Leagues in Europe (England, Spain, Germany, Italy)

(Yeah I know Paris SG did 13 wins start of a recent season, but that's not a traditional big league in Europe)

I’ve no doubt the lack of crowds is partly influencing what is going on, but this PL is so competitive.

So many very capable teams ( even if some of the squads won’t be as deep as the big clubs).

Bamford hat trick a nice bonus for my fantasy league team as well.

Chance to go top against a decent but limited team, when you have an excellent defensive record, scoring for fun, and at home?

Just actually seen both of Bamford's goals, they are two of the best goals I've seen so far this season. Fantastic strikes.

He scored three. But I suppose you weren't talking about his first (the tap-in). :p But yeah the second two were class.
