Leicester look more than capable of finishing in the top 4 this season, so we're going to need all of United, Arsenal and Chelsea to be worse than us.
I miss us from 2 years ago ?. I think being at Wembley was when we started to come apart.

Jose must be delighted to be in the studio today. He can just sit there and say hey utd are shit but have spent since I left so were justifiably bad when I was in charge too

It’s why I’ve been saying the problems at Man Utd go further than the manager and why mourinho’s demise there wasn’t all his own doing. Solskjaer is just out of his depth but we all knew that the minute he was appointed. It’s also why I think Mourinho at another premier league club wouldn’t be a total disaster.

Can’t see anything but a Chelsea thrashing with that defence. It will be better once they get rudiger back and Kante is back today but it looks very weak.

Liverpool as so far ahead of us that I think I’d take that.

Yet if you look at the squads I don't think they are. It's why many of us are far from happy.

European football is bereft of quality. Liverpool and City the only truly excellent sides. Barca, Real, Bayern nowhere near what they were.
Agree in the sense that the top sides are weaker collectively than they've been in a long time, but the next best are also at a better level than previously. I don't think many leagues will have one sided title races this year.

Just not in England.

Give over, mate. They scraped past us even in our bad shape yesterday and lost to the team that just lost to West Ham the last week.

And also: Brenda.
I think you've got your head in the sand a bit to be honest. They've got quality all through their team, Rodgers has got them playing a system that suits them and their results have been largely positive since he took over. They're currently sitting in 3rd having already played Spurs, Chelsea and Man United, and they were unfortunate to lose to United. Using a loss away to United, via a penalty, as a reason they won't finish in the top 4 when we lost at home to a relegation favourite is laughable.

Agree. Leicester look a real danger this season, despite the loss at United, and I certainly think they'll be at the very least within striking distance of top four most of the season.

Whenever we lose i find it difficult to watch any kind of football... I need a purpose to watch football and that purpose is spurs... i need a game to affect Spurs for the good... Liverscum losing would be good for me but like meh meh meh

Shouldn't have got rid of Lukaku. He's not perfect but he has a decent conversion. Who at the club can they rely on for goals?

Yeah I remember how many of us on here raised this very question during the TW. Ole had a appealing narrative of "... bringing through youth" and channeling the ethos of Fergie. But as shown time and time again United as a club, from top to bottom, still hasn't understood that they will need several season of transition before getting there.

Well frankly *coughs out sand* it's far too early to start making assessments about who will be there ie in the CL.

There are two spaces up for grabs. If they finish above us I'd be very surprised, sorry. Yesterday's game was an absolute shitter but not an indication as to where we'll both end up come May.

However if we're third and they take fourth I'll be happy for David Brent and Co. They have quality I won't deny it but not enough nous yet.

Yep. Not only that but Fergie's youth had Bruce, Schmeichel, Pallister, Ince, McClair, Hughes etc all to look up to and guide them through the tough games. This United team have no-one. They bought too many ego stars and then had to ship some of them out.

Agreed, asking a bit much but I also want Arsenal to lose.
