I'll add this in a seperate post so as not to edit my way into a ban.

Another way Liverpool's "luck" manifests itself is also the complete and utter absence of bad luck. The way football works it should be near impossible to win 27 out of 28 games in professional football. Yes, they're the best side, they have most possession, they harry teams into mistakes, they defend well. But this just doesn't happen in literally every single game, not to a normal team. Look at City, almost invincible but they even in their two monster seasons had games where it didn't click, where the opposition took the one or two chances they had, frustrated the feck out of City and came away with one or three points.

The fact that this hasn't happened to Liverpool in a league match this season, hasn't happened to them in a league match since they lost to City over a year ago, is absolutely mind-boggling.

I see your point but I wouldn't compare Liverpool and Man City, the way City play they take more risks so are bound to be caught out more and make more errors.

The problem I have with the luck argument is that it purely focuses on moments i.e keepers making mistakes at key moments or a deflected shot going in off a defender to turn the match...but what about the normal passages of play where they manage to keep the other team out with good defending or putting together a good attacking move to form a team onto the back foot or excellent game management i.e knowing when to slow the match down etc...how comes the luck argument is only apparent for only 9% of the match but not for the other 91% does that not count...because that is the majority isn't it?

Think we just have to admit that they are just head and shoulders above anyone in the league.

Worse than gloves is the gloves and short sleeves. I dont get it. Are you cold or not? Soft southern shites lol.
I actually completely understand this. Some people just have very cold hands. I actually really liked playing in short sleeves and gloves, but this was in Norway so temperatures are a little colder here most of the time.

West Ham - 13 points from last 21 matches.

Beating Man U at home and Chelsea away. Weird.

The problem with Erik is that if you question him about it, he's likely to take one of them off, force it down your throat and choke you.
Then he'll pull the glove out, put it back on and casually walk off and drink some of that stuff that the South Americans drink.
Complete psychopath that bloke.

I'm going to get all nerdy now.

Wearing gloves with short sleeves will actually keep you warmer than wearing long sleeves and no gloves. Heat-loss is greater around the hands compared to the forearms as there's greater surface area for heat to radiate from as well as lots more small capillaries.

Those gloves are just to make sure that he leaves no finger prints..

Find it so depressing watching football at the mo.. take Last nights game as an example I didn’t watch it as such but just seen the goals etc and at least West Ham showed some fight and abit of ambition to try and attack and score goals. Just have the feeling with us if Liverpool had scored that early against us we would just have crumbled Or certainly would have still played the negative Way we have been of just trying to keep the score down and stay in the game and may be with abit of luck nick a goal on the odd rare attack we manage.

I've pretty much given up watching top flight football.
I just don't care about how other teams are playing, what the table looks like, who the best players in the league are etc. etc.
Too much money in it, VAR completely ruining the atmosphere, referees being even less accountable for their decisions than before. Then factor in the Sky love-fest for Liverpool & Klopp, City likely to find away to avoid their CL ban and so on.
My love for the game has gone... I'll stick with streaming Cambridge United games and watching my lad's team on a Sunday.

Turned off our game on Saturday as soon as it went 2-0.

If Tottenham didn’t play in the top flight I wouldn’t watch a single minute of any game. It’s been boring for years ( bar the freak Leicester season ) and is massively overhyped. It’s probably the most boring professional league in English football. The Championship is much better as a competition for example

Does this mean I can wear gloves when having to play in skins when having a kickabout?
