I love Maguire's excuse. I didn't want him to fall on me so tried to keep him up :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Brilliant.
Son thought Rudiger was going to fall on him and actually managed to keep him up, some have said he saved his life that day but the incompetent refs thought it was violent conduct. Thank you for explaining it Harry.

They have been on the slide for months. Their last 14 now are 4 wins, 3 draws, 7 losses. That goes back to Nov.
Gives some idea of how piss poor the rest of the pack have been that they are still 4th.
Not for much longer though I think.

They've got 5 clubs really breathing down their necks now... and Arsenal making a solid charge for 10th place.

Chelsea's form has been shocking though, but as the recent form shows on here, everyone in the top half is capable of dropping points all over the place, it's only us, Sheff Utd and Everton who've even managed to string two wins together in the last 5 matches.

How I wish we had signed Bruno.

He looked alright but I'm happy with our lot. I definately wouldn't swap him for GLC, and if it was one or t'other in the summer, I think we made the right choice.
The one think that did impress me about the boy was his dead ball delivery. That was good.
Early days so could easily prove me very wrong

It will be a mess all the way to the end. If we had Kane up and firing I would have been very comfortable now, but we haven´t so...

If we beat Chelsea I can´t see them getting back into this. They got injury problems, playing BM in the CL and Pool in the cup after then having lost 3 in a row. Would be a massive achievement if they could turn that around. Beat us and Bournemouth and it looks a lot better. I hate making too much out of individual league games, but boy is it important that we don´t lose.

Sheffield United on the other hand got few really tough games left. Not sure how long this amazing run can last, but if they keep on playing like they have then I fear them more than Chelsea.

Need to keep an eye on Everton. Even if it doesn't happen for them this season, I can see Ancelotti pushing them closer to the top 4 next time around

Can't be thinking about next season, the only thing we need to worry about is knockouts of the Champions League, 12 league games to salvage our continued growth and being one winnable game away from the quarter finals of the FA cup. Decent turnaround after a struggle to begin the season with.

When it should not be. The officiating ref has access to a monitor on the ground and he should review the action as recommended by VAR, but he and only he should make the decision. This is why VAR was such a success at the world cup.
Agree completely but as @tiger666 said you'll still have a bit of inconsistency because at the end of the its different people, refs, making the call.
Whats getting on peoples tits is not so much VAR itself but the way its being applied.
Look at some things, not at others.
Takes wayyyyy to long to make a decision.
And some people, wrongly in my opinion, getting up the arse about the offside. You cant have your cake and eat it. Its either offside or its not. Theres a line, same as Hawkeye in Tennis. Its either in or out, onside or offside. If they changed it so theres a 12" margin for error people will moan when its 12 1/4" offside. There has to be a line drawn and PROVIDING its the same for everybody, well, thats as good as its gonna get.
The heart of the problem is the offside law itself. Its an ill conceived idea. By definition it was literally physically impossible for a linesman to get right in the first place.

The issue with the offsides as I see it is not the line (you're right, either you're over it or you're not), but the "moment at which the ball is played". The margins for the judgment of the line are so small that you're talking about fractions of a second, much smaller amounts of time than those we are able to identify the moment the ball was played to.

My wife put a Liverpool vest on my 7 week old son this evening. She said it was "for a joke" even though she knew it would wind me up.

I'm somehow currently in the doghouse for taking it off him and putting the vest out of the house. Stopped short of wiping my arse with it.
