I can’t actually remember but I’m sure there was something off about them.

It definitely contributed

It does go to show however, that a strategy is essential to reaping the benefits... im not really sure what our strategy is but hopefully we do have one and we can implement it this window coming

Our strategy is save that money.

The only thing that worries me about Liverpool is there ability to generate young talent. They are building something for the future.
Granted so are we, but our foundations are in concrete not young talent.
And their young talent is quite impressive.

As a rule, I'm not that big on Yorkshire. All a bit sparse and empty for my liking, full of people who say 'aye' when they should say 'arr'.

However, they gave us Bill and Keith; and Nice one Cyril; and Aaron; and Daws, Kyle and Danny; and Bobby Smith and Terry Dyson; as well as the absolute legend that is Tony Galvin.

So they're alright by me.

That's because Klopp doesn't care about FA Cup/Carabao and play them there. In PL and CL youths are getting minutes from Tottenham. Tbh our U23 and U18 beat them 3x this season (even Colchester senior team :woot: )

Yeh, we have a big Yorkshire connection. Robinson and Bobby Smith as well.

If that had been us we'd have been loving it. Normal behavior is out the window, common sense left the building ages ago, if 500,000 people can descend on Dorset, with a large swathe of them ending up clogging Bournemouth's beaches, then you have to accept this will happen.

Might be an age thing, but I've always been treated very well by Scousers on my travels there over the decades, and even in Madrid last year the ones I ran into were very decent. New fans, the younger generation, are wanky, but that goes for most clubs sadly.
They deserved it and I have a lot of time for Klopp.
I cannot believe we lost our bottle when it came to Pochettino though. On June 2nd we should've been giving that man everything he wanted, should've been doing it for the year prior. Instead we let it rot. Until last season, we were better than them. It was ours to lose.

this is really the key. Look back at the demo iob we did on them at Wembley. Then look at the way Fenway backed Klopp - BsofL will never admit baldy lost focus on the playing side....just one eg, of many, was the Barkley situation. You had G Robbo on twitter shouting that he was the one Poch wanted and to back the manager. Think how bad it was when Poch was using Robbo to try and convince Danny to back him

That's the best thing about it!

I agree re the Poch comment - Poch was our Klopp but without the experience - we should have supported the fuck out of him and stood by him no matter what.

Sheffield United have O’Connell on the way back apparently. He’s a good defender and will make the world of difference to that team. Just in time to play us disappointingly. If he plays I’m going to keep a close eye on him as I think he’s a potential signing.

Man United got lucky the other day. Sheff U had 3 star performers this season missing for various reasons in Henderson, O'Connell and Egan, and it looks like all 3 will return for our game. Bloody typical!

Villa are t getting anything from this. They’ve absolutely nothing going forward.
No they have a real issue in attack.

However, look at how Wolves are set up. Very deep and playing for the break. Now if that was us people on here would be laying right into us saying playing deep against Villa is a disgrace. Yet the same people will probably say Wolves are better than us right now.
