You're glossing over the fact that we weren't just a few points off 5th but in alarmingly bad form. Combine that with a squad who were tired with key players picking up injuries it was always going to be an uphill struggle.

In comparison United have spent near on 200m, Ole has been allowed to shed the squad of its bloated weight and has had 18 months working on the structure and system. Then he's allowed to bring in Bruno.

That's a major disadvantage to Jose
He needs more than a few months to reenergise and repair this team.
He doesn't get a few months. He's just cost us tens of millions of pounds if not more which we simply can't afford. We should have been well above United before Bruno came in.

I'm so glad we signed Gedson..how embarrassing would it have been for Daniel had he wasted £50m on the other one?

What a finish this is gonna be for the race for that 4th spot. Manchester United looking more fit than ever, Wolves continue looking stable and Chelsea too. If there’s any chance, Leicester have to drop points now and we gaining points

Top 4 will be Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Man Utd. We have a good chance of 5th if we win all our games. Leicester and Wolves will drop off imo.

Dammit I'd hoped captaining Bruno Fernandes on FPL would jinx him

I've put in three United players and three Wolves players in a desperate final attempt to tip the scales in our favour and it's not working.

I honestly think even if we win every game it won't be enough. 10 point gaps to Leicester and 9 to Chelsea are just too big this late in the season, and United are both in good form and have very simple fixtures. The best hope by far was to beat United and then make up the single point to them, and we didn't.

Leicester drew with the Brighton team that Man Utd just decimated and almost all of their fixtures are pretty tough. In their 7 games they have Man Utd, us, Arsenal, Everton, and Sheffield. If they win against Everton tomorrow I'll probably change my point of view but at the moment I believe they'll probably drop a lot of points.

Haven't we blown a 10 point (maybe 12) lead over Arsenal this late in the season before? I think we almost blew one last season too

If we can beat sheff Utd and Arsenal, I can see us winning the remaining games. Where that gets us is anybody’s guess.
I can see Leicester getting into a rut. They’re just not scoring goals. Utd, wolves and Chelsea all look in good form though
My money is on us finishing 6th
