I have been getting stick about Bale left right and centre, and I am sad he may be moving on but!

We have got some eay signings in and they are bloody good ones! With more to follow possibly. With Bale we have a really good squad, without him and one or two more from his money we still have a really good squad.

In fact I think we can really do something special this season even without Bale. The team will galvanise for sure, if we do get a new creative midfielder/left sided player in we will be stronger in some ways, having not to rely on one player so much.

If Bale stays then bonus!

I think the number of replies in this thread speaks volumes.

Personally I thought we were horrible to watch last season. No imagination, no movement, and more often than not no end product. Bale really did carry the team - way more than Van Persie did for Arsenal. Van Persie got on the end of a lot of team efforts, whereas if you look at the majority of Bale's goals last season he pretty much had to create the opportunity himself. We won't be able to replace the goals and match-winning abilities he brings to the team, so the next best option is to find someone that helps balance the team in general.

Soldado coming in is massive for us as he is a significantly better finisher than either Ade or Defoe, and is also a team player. Chadli looks interesting but it's very difficult to tell from a small number of youtube clips. Paulinho looks like he'll give us more options if either Dembele or Sandro are injured, whilst being a true box to box #8 - a player we've lacked for a long time.

Until we know what is happening with Bale, and who we can bring in if he does leave, there's still a huge question mark over next season. We have no creativity, and it's looking likely that we'll lose our talisman. Since chelsea won the champions league we've lost Modric, VDV, and now probably Bale. All of them could produce moments of magic to turn a game, and right now I don't see a single player in our team that can do that.

I get the impression we will still buys players to try and impress Bale to stay, and like I say if he goes we have improved the squad. Which is, as you are saying the issue like say season. So it's a massive plus we are building which we haven't done for a few seasons.

I agree we need to see what's happening with Bale, I don't think DL will sell without us buying first or we will get screwed with 80 mill burning a hole in our pocket. So we could be better equipped with either way.

The latest ITK from Mystery is that Bale stays.

I think ITK on Bale at this stage is pretty much meaningless unless someone has specific info about him leaving or signing a new contract with us. Bale might be happy to stay one minute, then a mindbogglingly good offer comes in that Levy can't turn down and he's gone the next.

As long as he's a Spurs player the speculation will continue right until the window closes. Then it will just carry on anyway.
