:D

I wouldn't know, what team would Gandhi have picked :cautious:

Look, all I'm saying is being disappointed is understandable, criticism is understandable, but the over the top and often spiteful nature of it isn't. He's not a moron, a prick or a **** and even though we might not understand or like some of his decisions he's not suddenly incompetent. He's the same manager than took us to multiple CL qualifications and a final and that deserves some respect, even though for some it'd be given massively begrudgingly. People can call out what they see as his mistakes without resorting to that, it's not that long ago SC was delighting in the behaviour of those Arsenal idiots ranting against Wenger on youtube and now look at us.

I agree 100%!!! Of course Poch is making glaring mistakes but let's not be like does morons on the other side of North London, had a work colleague this morning calling for Wenger after making a case for getting rid of him for the last 2 years!

Regardless of past 'successes' (without having actually won anything with the most gifted Spurs squad of the last 30 years), the past 10 months have been really damaging to Pochettino's reputation at this club.

The miraclous 2nd half in Amsterdam painted over alot of cracks - prior to that we had been on a downward slide and it's only accelerated since the beginning of this season. Sure, there will be the odd win every now and then (thank you, Red Star Belgrade!) which will give hope that things are turning around and which Poch will cling to in order to demonstrate that he is still a 'top manager'. But the results and the performances tell a different story to those that really follow this club. He has been unable to reverse the flow of negativity - it's not just the results anymore, it's the behaviour of him and some of his players. And it doesn't appear that he is capable of finding a solution to the current situation.

I didn't get to yesterday's game, but watched it on Sky. Thought Kane's post match interview was interesting - he obviously disagreed with the tactics and the way we sat back and invited Liverpool to dominate the game (it was like something you'd expect from Brighton or Norwich).

It's increasingly obvious that this is the end of an era. Can't see Poch turning it around - the issue is, does Levy allow this season to be a write-off, miss Champions League qualification (and the impact that will have on commercial deals, including stadium naming rights, etc.) and replace him next summer, or does he pull the trigger sooner than that?

And if we miss the top 4 this season, how many more players will want away, and what quality of new signing will we be able to attract? This is a slippery slope, once it starts to go against you, you are in trouble.

I posted my earlier reply incomplete......so to continue: Also, although Poch. should have made his changes e lot earlier in the second half, nobody KNOWS what might have happened if Son's second half shot had gone in instead of striking the crossbar...as an attacking team seriously controlling the game, Ericksen deserved to be out there (even though he had just been "jogging around" previously.)
I'm sticking with the boys and Poch.

Can anyone please explain to me why Eriksen & Aurier are still picked to play for us as the former is not interested in our club anymore and the later is the oppositions best player. Oh, I forgot and why is Moura who has committed to our club on the bench.

The fickleness, lack of appreciation and lack of context for where Poch has taken us to compared to where we were is embarrassing and shameful.
Yes he makes mistakes but those armchair tacticians who think that all the "right" answers are obvious are seriously deluded if they don't think Poch already sees what they see.
I'm sorry but there is appreciation and then there is a complete lack of analysis. He simply doesn't do his homework and is becoming very stubborn with player selection. How do you turn a team which was the master of the high press into us at the moment in the space of a year? By thinking you're better than you actually are.
Poch has had our golden generation to work with for 5 whole seasons. Klopp had less and managed two consecutive CL finals and actually won one. Poch got us two finals, lost both and one was the league cup (same initials just the other way round).
No one is denying the work, but he had two of the easiest seasons in the Prem with the best players I can remember in my lifetime and still failed to win it. I can see no evidence of a turnaround and going like this we will be in a relegation scrap soon enough. Watford were too much for us. WATFORD!!!!

But he keeps making the same mistakes, that's what's worrying me. If he already sees what we see, why isn't he reacting to it?

My take on it is this..
I don't like Eriksen playing any more than others do but we know that Poch reviews the physical condition of every player before letting them play. Is it possible that Lo Celso is still not fully fit? Yes it is. Is it possible that Ndombele may have had a knock from Tuesday or from training? Yes. Hence his comments on Winks being fresh. Imagine the fallout from starting one of them and then they get injured for the long term. Do you think anyone would cut him any slack? Not a chance.

We all witnessed Sissoko take the field again and again whilst every one laughed and pointed, now he's one of the league's most physically dominant midfielders and shows that with his performances.

For those saying Liverpool's midfield had no attacking threat simply don't know football. Liverpool's midfield are not a creative midfield (except Fabinho) like Man City's. They are runners, they press, close down and play the ball direct. They tirelessly run in behind and get into the box again and again. That's their strategy. So to say oh why play two defensive midfielders against their midfield shows you don't recognize the need to track runners, something Ndombele doesn't do as well as our other options right now.
