He tried to force Levy to get our transfer business sorted early and it didn’t happen.

Looks like he’s fed up.

The club gets paid a kings ransom by the TV companies and media for full coverage including interviews and in turn Pochettino get a huge contract with the club. He has to put his big boy pants on and stop being such a baby. I do agree that he does get stupid repetitive questions but he has to deal with it better than he has lately
I dont think that most people in sports view interviews as a large part of their jobs. Journalists just want to sensationalise and create click bait for revenue.

The questions are either stupid, repetitive or malicious. Yes he gets paid to them, but it doesn't mean that he has to be an easy target.

The standard of so called sports journalism is absolutely appalling for the most part. Like the whole "27 year old player insists this or that" or making a "report" out of people's reactions on Twitter. Its shocking. I'd happily take a pay cut if it meant that I didn't have to talk to the vultures.

He could just give nothing answers or even tell them how boring it is. Stoking fires about his and players futures every few weeks isn’t much use to anybody

I don't know what's wrong with the dude, he's just getting more and more bitter by the week.

OK David lets put the shoe on the other foot .

What are the intelligent questions that you wished had been put to Poch in the last presser ?
I'm not sure about intelligent but after MP's random meaningless talk about science, I think someone should have been brave enough to put him back on track and ask if not against teams like Newcastle at home, when might Parrott, Skipp, and Tanganga be likely to get meaningful premiership game time.
It is not a closed question, as MP could quite rightly point out that he has backed the younger players in difficult games in the past - and they have performed well. Perhaps you find out more about a player in a high pressured environment?

And since he continually used Wembley as an excuse why last season was so hard, I'd ask how settled he and the players were at the new ground, now they've played a few games at home. It is not a loaded question as we have a 100% record this season(!) and gives him a chance to talk of equipment, technology, silly things that we could never guess, the quality of the pitch, the closeness of the fans, etc etc

I'd ask him what he looked for in a right back. Should they be aggressive in getting forward, or more defence minded or does he prefer flexibility - someone who can play midfield or as a CB, perhaps also LB or where-ever tactically they are needed. (Something both Walker and Trippier had in common is they couldn't really play any other position - all today's candidates are more flexible, perhaps.)

I'm afraid I would expect each question to be dismissed one by one - he isn't looking to explain or make friends. That's his style and I expect he is exactly the same with the players.

Not the journalists but the owners who have pushed page clicks. Journalists would rather do insightful work but this takes time and won’t fill a paper each day. Unfortunately we’re losing decent journalists as the pressure to produce content means theres easier living in PR. this is a malaise which impacts way beyond sport. I agree with you the writing is shit in general but don’t think it’s just down to the journalists but unfortunately it will or has now become the standard.

I think this’ll be his last season at the club. People talk about a long lasting dynasty and sure, that would be great but, what’s to say Poch is even built for such a long term role?

It’s unfortunate and I hope he stays of course but the chat about leaving, although I’m not sure that’s genuine all the time, he is quite a highly strung bloke and most important of all, Zidane keeping the Madrid hot seat warm means we’ll have a new boss by this time next year.

A league and champions league double is a lovely way to leave us though?

Would someone who is highly strung last 5 minutes in the Madrid pressure cooker?

MP will be heavily linked with Man Utd before long.
I'm surprised it hasn't started already.

It seems that Poch always starts with our new players are not ready,so I wonder what he is trying to do.Is it their fitness or is it tuning in to our system. Not that I want to hold up Arse in any way,but how much brainwashing did Ceballos need when he went there?
Part of the new system I thought was going to be about freedom. The freedom to create. When you pull back on the players you end up with less creativity not more.Im not saying that what he is doing is wrong but maybe he is a bit over the top with micro managing and if our system needs more of a flow it also needs more freedom thats all

Was it him saying that we are on the next chapter of our evolution that makes you think he’s off?

We just have to accept that as long as he is manager of Spurs, he will be linked with top jobs. The only way that might not happen is if we weren't doing well and I would rather the former.

Nah it was him saying to win something at spurs is more special than going to a club where you're expected to win I imagine.

It's the same at virtually every other big club. Klopp and Emery seem a bit more amicable. Pep , Poch and Sarri( last year) seem to enjoy being obtuse and mysterious

Easy to be amicable when things are going well. Klopp has shown he can lose his cool like any of them when things aren't going his way:
