He'll only be sacked if relegation becomes an immediate danger. No it isn't yet, before someone reminds me of 25pts in last 23 games. Otherwise Levy will stick. Only thing changing that is if Poch decides he isn't committed.

I'm flexible, what will be will be, but this form continues and a real relegation threat will decide for us all.

Big clubs act before it is to late. If this was city/pool/chelscum action would have been taken.o_O

Imagine being linked with Gareth Southgate for crying out loud!

What a downer that would be for a choice.

I respectfully disagree. Levy and the fans expect us to be in the CL, or at least in contention for a place - and rightly so, given our record in recent years and the quality in the squad.

Posh needs to do what he did when he first came in. Get rid of the dead wood and players that aren't fully committed and Levy needs to fully back him. If we sack him and the new guy comes in he'll still be stuck with players wanting out and running down their contracts.

I think he's done much better than people expected. A big sexy name, isn't a guaranty of success.
He is doing well with England I agree, but Premier League is a different kettle of fish.

Sexy or not, I don't see him at Spurs.

I just currently cannot not see Levy sacking him or Poch leaving...madness and just more press speculation trying to fill newspaper space.

I don't think for one moment that the club will get relegated but I do think the end is in sight for poch real sad ending if so.

I guess you heard that directly from Levy?
Levy has shown one thing about himself in the last 20 odd years - that he always plays the long game. He's never been about immediate success and measures even when we (fans) thought we needed it. Poch and Levy had a 5 year plan to get us consistently in the UCL and Poch was well ahead of schedule. What makes anyone think that Levy isn't looking at this and still sees us as ahead of schedule?

Yes we're falling behind this season but we've already got 4 seasons of UCL and a final behind us that indicate we're making progress.

I look at Dortmund and wonder if they regretted allowing Klopp to leave after his half season blip now seeing him create an awesome Liverpool team.

No need to be facetious. It's clearly my opinion, based on the evidence before us. I don't believe Levy is fine with us not even challenging for top four.

Good post, not least because you've considered what we do know about Daniel Levy and his initial understanding with Pochettino. Remember how not long after he was appointed so many rival fans and pundits were saying 'he has two years to...', when it was nothing of the sort? That irritated the pundits with their by now customary knee-jerk reactions and 'short-termism'. It was a much longer term plan and Poch eventually found himself well ahead of schedule. It's a fascinating and formidable relationship, with strategic thinking and each of them playing to their strengths while also seeming to appreciate the other man's approach, calm and leadership skill. It puts the wind up rivals.

Isn't that what he's been trying to do though? I do agree with that though.
