why do I get the feeling we're going to massively regret this!?
Not so sure TBH. We have been on the decline for so long now and no change in sight. It was the right move for all sides. I think we will be surprised with who's coming. Reckon Levy has been busy searching.

FInishing in the top 4 and getting the Champions League final is a decline from what? Just imagine how sick you're going to feel when Man U sack baby face, bring in MP and win trophies.

Mate our top 4 was down to Arsenal and United being even shitter than us. We weren't good by any stretch of the imagination. And the CL final was a beautiful cinderella story but nothing more. And the final proved it - dire.

Everyone below us was worse than us, that's how leagues work. You can't tell me that getting past Ajax, Man City, Barcelona, Inter Milan and Dortmund was a fluke. It happened because we deserved it.

Sacking a manager that has given the club its best years for a long time shows a shocking lack of loyalty. A massive backward step that means years more 're-building'.

Out of those only Dortmund was convincing. And Yes City and Ajax were just that, a beautiful fluke...

...of course, we should be beating all of those teams 6 nil. Otherwise the manager must be shit.
Sorry but we got through City due to a 5mm off side and we got through Ajax because their keeper had been time wasting and hence got an extra minute of the game. They were beautiful moments but don't kid yourself, they only papered over the fissures not so much cracks.

So every win was pure luck and every defeat was because we were shit. You think Liverpool had no luck getting to the final.
