Forgive me for being a bit dim, but isn't Poch the coach/manager. Isn't it his job to tell the powers that be which players he wants, which players he wants to keep etc. Didn't Levy just back him entirely with HIS chosen players? He supposedly knew our weaknesses and the players he may not have this year?

As much as I like the Spanish sex bomb, if spurs cant come.up with a plan B that trumps a big target man upfront then they are all in the wrong business.

It's Daily Rubbish, so might be made up. But I'm more concerned about the lack of plan B against the teams like Newcastle.

Metalhead

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Not sure about this article. If Poch had wanted him, it wouldn't have been difficult to tie him down to another one year deal.

It's more a predictability in the final third than the players though surely? The build up play is so pedestrian.

Marcelo Bielsa once said said, "I only believe in Plan A. Plan B is to get Plan A to work."

We don't look good & its looking rather devoid of dynamism and inspiration. I recall our 4-0 home victory versus WBA on 14th January 2017 & remember almost welling up with pride because this resembled the perfect vision of how we ought to play: fast, inventive & devastating. It was quite brilliant.

Our last home game was the furthest thing from it. It was dire.

I know it will be unpopular, but if the season were to end with a whimper, then Levy ought to consider the gaffer's future. Its been 6 years & no winners medal of any real importance. Champions League was the 1st step, but it doesn't seem like we've moved on.

Last season had no transfers, but I can't help but think that had Pep been in charge, or even Bielsa we might well have been more exciting to watch & possibly won a cup.

I want it to get better & hope the gaffer can resurrect the positivity & dynamism we sorely lack.

Pretty sure Dele scored more with his head last year than Llorente. Maybe that’s our plan b
