He needs to contest it so what Dean said becomes public. I would bet a good deal of money that Dean said something needlessly provocative to make the usually mild-mannered Poch and Jesus go ballistic.

I think he’s got a bit too much class about him to do that, can’t imagine it’ll find it’s way into the public domain unfortunately...

Maybe, but it seems ludicrous that a ref can, it seems, provoke a manager but said manager cannot respond without getting charged. Where's the repurcussion for Dean?

If Dean said something he made sure no mics were near him so he couldn’t be held accountable. Smart c***.
Unfortunately everything is pure speculation until Poch releases his next book so maybe the next time Poch confronts a ref he needs a hidden wire, proper DL territory this one, getting secret mics into attire whilst tying up some additional sponsorship for NWHL, time to call in ??!
Dean gets away with being portrayed as the victim again as yet another nasty manager had a pop at him for being a c***, not that he’s got previous obviously but their union or whatever s**** they call it will make sure he’s okay....even though he gets called out every other week.
Any other job and he’d have been given his P45 quite some time ago.

He has until 18:00 on 28 February 2019 to respond to the charge. I believe he still can lead the team right.

As Dean and his 3 assistants were clearly still wearing their headsets when the confrontation took place , and they were presumably still switched on, someone should have access to evidence of what provoked Poch. In most other legal contexts Poch could theoretically get a court order to get access to any recordings, which could be vital to his defence, but we know that the FA will want to ensure that this whole episode is quickly swept under the carpet. As Poch can't argue that the physical confrontation with Dean was in any way acceptable, and his "previous good behaviour" will be taken into account, he'll no doubt end up being fined and warned about his future conduct. The rest of us will be left none the wiser.

The fly in the ointment is this, though.....

Pochettino indicated on Saturday that he would not contest an FA charge, although he may decide to consider his options if a touchline ban looks likely. He said: “I will accept everything that can happen from the FA but I hope they won’t go any further.

IF it really was down to something Dean said, I really hope his Mr nice guy nature can be put aside for once as he fights as a matter of principal.

Although none of us have a clue what was said (if anything was said) , I've seen a fair few people on social media asking, "is it true that he said, there goes you title hopes".

Either way, I hope the club as a whole doesn't just roll over for this.

If and obviously it's a big if, the social media bit is true, Poch needs to pin that to the dressing room wall and make sure it's the last thing the players see every game as they go out on the pitch.

Dude, this is not a murder trial.
If he gets a fine Daniel will pay it and that'll be the end of it.

I like this rumour.
It is mild enough to be credible and poisonous enough to suggest this was the outcome Dean wanted.

I quite like what Poch has said here. He's a clever man. He's apologised to Dean and accepted his punishment.

With Poch saying what is said on the park stays there will gain a lot of respect from Dean so now I fully expect Dean to look favourably on us, we should get a free kick deep inside our own half now, instead of getting nothing.

Wouldn't have done any harm to put Dean in the spotlight. Plenty of people must have heard what was said and if Dean said something inflammatory he should be held accountable for it. Looks as though it's all been swept under the carpet though which means nothing will change. I can't believe Poch was that upset simply by a couple of decisions that went against us. We've had far worse in the past and he never got anywhere near as angry. Dean must have riled him up IMO but it looks like he's got away with it.

As my post earlier in the week. Call to arms either Home or Away, the next time Mr Showbiz Dean refs one our games he gets dogs ? abuse from minute 1 from the fans even if he awards us decisions. The bloke is an utter disgrace and the game needs rid of him now. Mark my words when he retires bet he becomes the ref supremeo or is employed by those knobs @ BT.
