Mauricio Pochettino has said he does not even need to tell his squad to focus on the fight to finish in the top four of the Premier League rather than the impending Champions League semi-finals against Ajax because his players’ mentality is “perfect”.

I am sure Brighton will do what Burnley did against Chelsea in the second half today. All 11 men behind the ball, and hope for a lucky break. Though Brighton are not as resolute as Burnely, we will need the best of son, Deli, Erickson and Moura to break them down.

I'm hoping Moura's pace helps unlock their defence.

What we need is an early goal to bring them out otherwise the longer it goes on the more they will dig in

Sometimes spurs will say one thing in the press before the game and then when they play you realise that it was just waffle.

If they're focused on top 4 you will see it tonight. And definitely on Saturday. West ham game will show the team up if they don't match them for effort, whereas tonight we could possibly win playing badly.

My main concern is that there has been a pattern this season where an epic performance has been immediately followed by a bloody awful one. Players need to treat every game from now on as if it is the one that gets us over the line. We've seen poor performances by all of our top 4 rivals in their last outings and this is a perfect opportunity to hammer home that advantage. No excuses at all if we don't rip into them and get the 3 points.

That changed against City. It was an epic performance in the QF second leg and we followed that up with a very good performance away to City in the PL. As you say, the players just have to show that attitude for the remaining games.

This has a bit of the West Brom 2016 game about it. An ugly win will suffice at this stage of the season.

It has become one of our biggest games of the season for the following:

A win:
Puts us 3 points - GD makes it 4 - ahead of Chelsea with them to play Man U next.
Puts us 6 points - GD makes it 7 - ahead of Man Utd with them having to play City and Chelsea in their next two
Puts us 4 points - GD makes it 5 - ahead of Arsenal which means they would have to win their game in hand

Just win and pile the pressure on the other three.

Thankfully we won but in true Tottenham fashion they made us sweat for it. CE take a bow kid!
