I’m sad because of the great times we’ve had but this has been coming for a while.

One part of me craves for the nostalgia of us at our best; he’s one of the reasons my children started following Tottenham and watching match highlights in the dark hours when my youngest wasn’t sleeping made hard times easier for me.

But things have got so bad, and Poch became so stubborn and erratic that it was evidently time for him to go. I’m not going to reverse engineer what my head’s been saying for some time, but my heart is weighted down this evening. However, we need to move on. I just hope Levy has a decent manager in place because we are still a very good side that’s been underperforming.

All the best, Poch

Exactly how I feel. It’s for the best I think. I’m not too bothered about the timing. It’s the long term that matters.

I was just thinking this week about that night in Amsterdam and how amazing he and the team made me feel, not to mention the 2015-17 sweet spot and Poch’s eyes when we left WHL.

I’m grateful for everything but it’s time to move on. Will raise a glass of vino tinto (sadly not Malbec) to Poch tonight and wish him well.

Man U and perhaps Arsenal have a tricky decision to make now.
A re-energised Pochettino would give both of them a big boost in the short term.

shame on the players more like. Some of them have been nothing short of a disgrace this year.
But levy never backed him... Poch was loyal when RM wanted him and Poch toed the line when we had no money building the stadium... Now we will bring in that **** rent boy

I'm sad but it was inevitable, just as you expect it to happen it's still a shock when it does happen.

Pochettino would never go to Arsenal. I would bet every penny to my name on that never happening. He wouldn’t go to Barcelona because of Espanyol, so don’t think for a second he’d go to that mob.

Gutted, I really hoped he could turn it around but the form over an extended period was not good enough.

However, if I was a player I would feel pretty ashamed and embarrassed this evening.

If it's legit, that's all she wrote.
Am I a prophet? Literally that in the last post here before it happened.

Good luck in the future, Poch. Even though I'm not a supporter, I'm experiencing some odd feelings.

Been coming for a while. Not that surprised to be honest. Gutted but relieved at the same time. It’s been an amazing 5/6 years but this as been building for a season and a bit. We were so poor last year and there’s been no improvement, it’s actually got worse.

However the signings that we made this year have sparkled in their all too brief appearances and it gave me hope Poch and levy could come through this And I though he might be given more time.

jose is a weird one. Don’t want him and his football but when he was linked to arsenal a couple weeks back I was slightly shitting it. So... who knows

The majority it seemed wanted him gone, at least the vocal majority did, now the majority seems to be outraged. I guess that is always to be expected when the thing you want/know needs to happen is something that has emotional consequences at the very least. We are out there alone now it feels like, and the past is, well, the past. I feel sorrow now for sure, but it did need to happen. As for the timing, yeah it isn't great, but it must be down to something behind the scenes, progress with a potential replacement, something involving the player dynamics or potential payoff packages. Whatever the case, we need to do things correctly from here and have something up our sleeves. But for now I thank Pochettino for everything he did, and am sad it stops here before the greatest I hoped would come.

Timing is absolutely fucking atrocious. Fuck you Levy. Fuck. You. Get the FUCK out of my club.
I imagine the timing was dictated by his replacement. Levy will have been in discussions for weeks, and now has his preferred replacement in the bag. It’s nothing personal, just business.

This is my thought. Surely the firing is connected to a plan with hiring. Whether he makes the right decision to the manager is one thing but Levy usually has a plan before firing.
