I can’t see Poch lasting If we lose our next game to a relegation form West Ham. DL will have some big decisions to make. Not only to back or sack Poch but also which manager to replace him with. Best stadium in the world, one of the best training grounds, require you to have one of the worlds biggest/best managers. So if DL sacks Poch and decides to sign a yes man like Eddie Howe then you will soon see our top players leaving. Whether you like him or not, Mourinho is a winner, and has the respect and stature that would have other clubs fearing us again. But DL would need to change his philosophy otherwise Mourinho would tell him to do one after a season.

The argument that Mourinho would be the catalyst for our best players committing to the club is slightly called into question by his experience at Utd, where the likes of De Gea, Martial, Pogba and Rashford were all desperate to leave before he was sacked.

It was a similar story in his second stint at Chelsea, and even worse at Madrid.

But sure, it’ll be different at Spurs, because everything always works out for the best here.

This is confusing. You’ve proved yourself to be wrong. These players weren’t adequately replaced and we were a poorer team while trying to find a way to compete without them.
It’s not like when Countinho left Liverpool and they turned into what they are now. These players left and we became clearly worse.

Anyway back to Poch.

?

we took a short-term hit each time and we may not have replaced them like-for-like but ultimately we improved in the long run.

You’ve cleared your sources with whoever needs that. You don’t need to justify it again. This is more a reminder for everyone that conversation can continue in this thread without someone using ‘Kane is off to see Levy in the morning’ as a factual argument. Many don’t partake in ITK, but do partake in being a run of the mill Spurs fan and just want people to know that the two can run alongside each other.
this is useful Dougal thanks.

:) Not when your investment is a helluva cash cow and one top fucking gravy train

Perhaps you care to wager when they will sell up? 1 month? 1 year? 5 years? 10 years? 20 years? 30 years? I am open to all bets! ?

Mate you realise we've been up for sale for ages, we nearly sold to Cain Hoy but they didn't match Enic's offer. Enic are fattening the club for an eventual sale and IMO it will be to an American company, we're trying to grow our brand in the States hence the NFL deal.

Do you care to wager that it indefinitely will not happen?

Kane is totally different to them

what do you suggest we do when kane retires then? pack up and fold the club?

all players are replaceable and there's always new talent on the horizon. i don't want kane to leave and i would want the club to do everything to keep him but if he wants out then you just deal with it, find some new players and move on.

You are absolutely spot on with this. I'm not trying to change opinions here, and I have no agenda.

I've always said I'll post what I can good or bad, and I've been very consistent on this for a long long time.

Thing is a lot of what I hear is from agents, and that means it sometimes comes 2nd, 3rd even fourth hand.

Transfer stuff for instance can be hit or miss sometimes depending on how close my source is to that particular deal, there are other itks for sure with high club connections that are far more informed on that stuff than me. This however is different, because my source would 100% be closer to what certain individual players are thinking, than anyone at the club including Levy and Poch themselves.

As I said the other week it was me(same source intact) That broke the Kane/Ade mutiny stuff on COYS, that was treated with a fair amount of scepticism at the time aswell.

I'm sad to say it but he definitely won't be wrong on this.

I sadly suspect you are correct and that this is clearly about Kane.
Can't work out how to feel about that but probably anger with Kane is the sentiment.
He got his big chance with Poch and to be perfectly honest Poch's flaw re: Kane is how he doesn't have to justify his place based on performance. It is so clear that Kane was not fit enough to start the CL final, should have been Moura and yet, because of his place in the pecking order he gets the nod...for all the good it did us.
There is this story in Poch's book about Kane getting emotional when they watch Totti's final game together....wish Harry would show the fight on the field that Totti always did....Son seems to care more.

Any how, bollocks to the lot of it. Billionaires and Millionaires having a laugh at our expense according to @Hercules

Did he win trophies at all those clubs?

I think some of that is opinion on Herecs part(at least I hope it is). I certainly don't think we have vast amounts to throw about, but I'd be surprised if we didn't have a decent budget in upcoming windows.

Yet still won more trophies there than Poch has in his whole career.
The possibility of us winning trophies would probably increase under Mourinho but we'd be dire to watch at the least, good chance we'd be shit generally.

It's quite obvious it's Kane, he was awful yesterday, a real lack of effort and desire. It's also quite telling that he has been so quiet on social media. Kane was always pretty regularly posting but he's been really quiet and it's also noticeable that as one of our senior players, there has been no rallying cry from him in support of the manager. You can tell he isn't happy.

I hope it happens tomorrow. Mourinho in charge for West Ham. If Eddie Howe gets it then I'll also be calling for Levy's head and my ST will go in the bin.

Because we’re such a joy to watch at the moment, I’d hate for Mourinho to spoil that by winning something

I've got a little bet on with myself to see if we can get through an entire page of a Poch-related thread without someone bashing other Spurs fans.

Haven't won yet...

I mean the prospect of finishing 6th and playing boring football but winning the EFL Cup doesn't fill me with any great sense of excitement.
