No matter how disappointing it is that he isn't always "on it," he's got to be worth giving a new contract. I think he gets under rated, as when he signed there were very high expectations of him and then when Ange arrived he had a spell when he was almost unplayable. The result of this is when he doesn't reach those high levels, he seems to get criticised as if he's been absolute dog shit, which is hardly ever the case. Overall he's been good, just not amazing. But you give good players new deals when their contracts are running down. It's not easy to find better CM's than Biss. Dembele, Modric and Carrick aside, there isn't another CM we've had, in the last 20 years, that has obviously been better than him.

I hope we renew his contract, because with consistent application and maturity his best years could still be in front of him. Besides, we should protect the value of our asset. Hope he don't fck it up by asking for too much. His watch must have been insured

Wtf was he doing standing right infront of Forster playing hummels onside?

Shocking from him

Got caught in a moment when we're scambling trying to mop up a corner, was poor positioning, and amongst the rest of the group we had about four players drawn to the ball at the same time and nobody marking the queue of roma players at the back post, it was a bad 3 seconds for the whole team.

He was otherwise really good when he came on, gave us a presence in midfield we'd been missing for large spells of the game.

Totally agree, thought he done well when he came on.
He either didn’t listen or didn’t hear FF telling him to get out, there is no way he wouldn’t have been told to push up as he was in FF’s line of sight, he should have known that though so put it down to a schoolboy error which unfortunately we seem to have too many of.
It’s basic defending though, I don’t understand how guys who are pro footballers are making mistakes that I tell my u10’s off for though.

So inconsistent that he is utterly useless, sell ASAP if anyone is stupid enough to buy
He has 18 months left on his contract. I'm quite certain he'll be gone by the summer.

The last few January windows we've done good business. If we identify a midfielder and an offer comes in for Bissouma he could go this January.

Gave the ball away so many times. He may be good at receiving the ball on the half turn but his dribbling isn't on Dembele's level to overcome his poor passing.

The sooner Gray gets to play as the 6 the better and we need to try and replace Bissouma in January with a 6 who can dictate play.

When Shearer talked about very good players give you 9 out of ten good games, but good players give you 5/6 out of ten good games.....i thought Bissouma straight away.

Doesnt have the mentality to ever be elite.

It’s a shame as he really thought he could be the best CM in the league. Looks like a shadow of the player that used to boss us around every time we played Brighton

Not good enough and his reputation always gets bumped because he'll have an excellent game every now and again which leads people to think he's top.

Quite frankly, Conte had it right. He's a squad player, an option.

I just realised I had my thought process wrong.

When we were talking about midfielders coming, on top of Gray's signing, we were all thinking about Gray's game time because Bissouma would be starting and the new signing would rotate with him

In actual fact, the new signing should have been an upgrade on Bissouma and Gray would be seen as a future option where Bissouma is phased out if he doesn't find consistency.

That's the problem with this club. A player with a few good games in the bank gets too much credit and we don't see them as upgradeable.

It's why I wanted another AM because Maddison is another flaky one.

Unfortunately when you shop in the next level down from elite market, you tend to get players who can be brilliant but aren't always.

Bissouma, Maddison, Solanke (goalscoring), Werner, Johnson, Richarlison....all of these players fit that description.

...and we wonder why we can't find consistency.

Should go in the summer. Brilliant on his day, but we don’t need “on their day” players. We need ones who will show their quality no matter what.

Unfortunately that's what every top club is looking for, and we're probably around 10th to 15th choice for any seriously consistent top player.

He’s a bit rubbish isn’t he. Dispossessed a number of times and also cant pass unless it’s within a few metres. Would rather we play Gray in there and Spence at RB (If Porro needs a rest)

Best thing about him that he is good enough to get sold, someone will probably want him. Hopefully they can match wages we are paying for him.

There is some consistency with the players you’ve mentioned. We consistently over paid for them.
