Great little debut for Wilson. Some lovely touches, happy to run at his man and go both ways. Very exciting.

Great debut, really exciting player, enjoyed watching him play. Lovely first touch, good dribbler and good decision making.

Looks another real talent we’ve added :)

Our squad is night and day now from Jose/Nuno/Conte era when we had built a bunch of plodders barring Kane & Son, it’s lovely to see.

I do like the idea of Sonny on the left, Solanke (or Richy) through the middle and Odobert on the right.
Feels like that has a nice balance about it.

It's putting a lot into a young player but especially when he's up to speed, it's really got to be one of Son, Johnson and Werner on one side, with him on the other.

Porro, Bergvall and Odobert all primarily operating on the right feels like some sort of cheat code.

I was at the game today. Dude did alright. Considering the shit he was up against he was nothing special.
Hopefully he'll turn out Immense but today was no test
I thought Dixon was the stand out player for Everton and his someone who will soon be snapped up by a big club.

until their LW is running through that. Yes going forward it feels like a cheat code but i'd be really worried that it could be taken advantage of defensively.

My only guess would be that Johnson's goal threat from the left playing against Dixon would nullify him and you want to create threats from both sides so as to stretch the defenders.
Sorry. I meant take off Johnson (not switch them) to try Odobert against a different full back.

He looked really promising from what I saw.

The concerns I have with Sonny, Kulu and Johnson playing this system aren't as concerning when we have a player like this also in the starting line up.

But we do need another at some point.

Yup. Even just one genuine running threat can bring the best out of other players in the side as they have more space.

The question really will be: how quickly can Mikey Moore be ready, will he be a winger, will he be good enough.

I suspect Mikey will end up as a CAM, and I’m not sure we want to rush him, or put too much pressure on him.

So yeah, I’d say we need another winger. Left footed ideally.

Spot on, i thought exactly the same. Had Odobert been up against an average paced RB he'd have skinned them time and time again, but Dixon was very quick (commentator on my feed suggested he knew an Everton coach and had been told he was the fastest player they'd had there in years). Coupled that with the fact he was brave in the tackle and i thought both 19 yr olds looked very promising indeed.

I was sitting in the East Stand right behind where Odobert was destroying the Everton defence. He was an absolute joy to watch.

Lovely debut, he looks exactly what we have been lacking.

Pace, creativity, amazing first touch. He had it all.

Can’t wait to see him settle and feel at home
