Looked like he tired by end of first half, but a lot went through him in the first 30mins. Saw enough to tell he has some quality and is the type of player we need. I do think he will do better on right for us we need a player that just gets to byline and crosses it, particularly when Solanke is back.

Very encouraging performane, tired a bit 2nd half but he’s only had a few training sessions with his new teammates.

It’s exciting to think what he could become when he’s properly up to speed with how we play and is Ange's style of football fit.

Wilson had a good start, but faded quite quickly (fair enough, since he's just joined us). Definitely had a few positive moments, though I thought he could have attacked the byline on more occasions (looked threatening when he did so).

I think some are getting a bit carried away after a decent individual performance, but there's definitely something there to work with.

As debuts go for 19 year old players with under a week's training with the club, I think we can safely say he got a passing grade. Very promising and finally a player who will take his man on.

Really enjoyed his performance. What i did like is that there didn't seem to be too negative a reaction from the fans when he did fail to take on his man, like as if it was just appreciated that he was trying. I at least hope that's how it seemed at the ground!

What I noticed right from start of game is how our main players like Maddison, deki etc looked for him at every opportunity. He has already earned their trust in training which is so impressive given he's only been there a week.
Players know a good player when they see one and they clearly think alot of him already.

Which sort of begs the question why he wasn't switched to the right - perhaps for the second half. Johnson wasn't exactly pulling up saplings.
My only guess would be that Johnson's goal threat from the left playing against Dixon would nullify him and you want to create threats from both sides so as to stretch the defenders.

Pedro Neto, in a funny way I am really glad we missed out on him.
We have got a great player with higher potential in Odobert which may prove in the long run a better investment.

Once he becomes match fit - we have a bonafide starter. You can see pace, fearlessness to take on players, and has a decent end product/cross. I love Sonny more than most but I’m starting to see how he may not be the winger we need with Wilson’s display.

Thought he had a good debut, looked sharp and wanted the ball. So did the Everton debutant Dixon he was up against I have to say.

I was at the game today. Dude did alright. Considering the shit he was up against he was nothing special.
Hopefully he'll turn out Immense but today was no test

Imagine if we had signed Neto instead of bringing in Werner...

His starting positions and initial movements were great. Didn’t quite bring about an end product but the starting position and movement was enough to cause the opposition some struggles. Promising start
