The players looked for him often, they know he has attributes the team desperately needs.

Its taken too many years but we finally have a winger.

He linked up very well with Udogie and Maddison, which is exciting to see in a debut.

Also, he did some decent defensive work today. You can tell he's not fully match fit yet but that will come.

Very encouraging debut indeed and even more encouraging was Ange throwing him in at the deep end.

Not fully fit yet for an Ange team but I really liked his first half performance. He had a pretty quick defender to face up so will be interesting when he is up against a regular full back. Bright first half with head up. Second half faded. Want to see him take his man on more but he looks like a good player.

A little disorientating that from the kick-off he looked like he'd been in the team for years, not a bother in the world fitting in or getting up to speed. And the fact he was picked to start in the first place must mean he's been killing it in training. A very impressive debut.

Especially for a first game in a new system, new team, new country. If he and all our other youngsters continue to develop, keep them from Real, then it will be an amazing few years. Spurs are starting to look like a destination club for up and coming talent.

Yep, also showed excellent link-up play first half. Great to see a winger be able to go both sides with the ball. Like you say, their FB was lightning quick, and actually had a great game himself.

Really promising. First half very good, going inside and outside. Second half looked to tire quickly after 10 mins, but 'that pass' aside, kept tracking back and kept it simple.

He'll start to link up more effectively and get more minutes in his legs and will become a real handful.

Looks like he will be a natural fit and will offer a lot once he’s fully adapted and adjusted. Clearly he will need to build his fitness and learn the system. It will take time and we do need to be patient but very encouraging. With more game time his confidence will grow and that’s when we will see what he can really do on the ball. Already looks far more dynamic than Johnson.

Hopewe can cultivate him for the right, where Johnson just ain’t cutting it
