Dayum, that’s completely out of nowhere!

Odobert looked a talent last year but I’ll be honest, we really needed to push the boat out on an improvement on Johnson and not his understudy and even then, Odobert has been deployed much more on the left.

Perhaps funds will be allocated elsewhere but can’t help feel underwhelmed here

Hang on a moment - we haven't even had the chance to discuss his injury record or whether all his family are Chelsea fans yet...

30 mins between hearing about him and the move being announced has to be some sort of record? Don't think even stambouli was that quick was it?

Don't know where to post this , but it looks like we finally have our winger

110k followers, must be reasonable reliable?

Thanks for sharing.

If true this is a very very interesting signing tbh, he is only 19 (20 in Nov) but from what I've seen of him he is a seriously exciting talent at a pretty good level right now, he can also play LW, RW and AM.

Still a bit raw and would be a tad disappointing if he is our main winger signing given we were looking more at the quality of Neto etc previously but I don't hate this signing it would give us a really good coverage of different types of options and with the Korean winger to join in January we'd have:

ST : Solanke, Richarlison
RW : Johnson, Yang Min-hyuk, Moore, Kulu (if needed but he should play mostly centrally)
LW : Son, Werner, Odobert (who can also play RW)

I can also see Werner being given a go at RW sometimes too.

Hmm very interesting signing if true, not quite the level we need right now but could develop pretty quickly under Ange, he's a really really exciting player to watch.

Feels like the club are trying to give Ange his own 'class of 92/2024' so to speak with lots of 18-20yr old signings and promoting the talented youth team players to form a squad that can run and run and is ready and eager to learn and develop.

I have been the most prominent poster of transfer stories for over a decade on this website and an announced signing for us coming out of nowhere, within an hour or two of the first rumours about them, has only happened once before.

The player in question I hear you ask?

Benjamin Stambouli.
