The amount coming out about Wanyama suggests he’s not far from leaving now. Sad about how good he could’ve been but with Ndombele, Sissoko, Winks, Skipp and Dier he’s just become a bit redundant I’m afraid.

Yeah time to go I’m afraid. Thank you for that superb 16/17 season where him and Dembele were immense but since then through by no fault of his own with injuries he has become the shadow of that player.

Just goes to show how any player is one nasty injury away from seeing their dreams go down the toilet.

A real shame, he was on course to be one of the best in the world in his position, but injuries seem to have struck him badly. I do worry we might be a bit light at DM unless Dier really has a resurgence, which is possible, or Skipp really pushes on, which is also possible. I know we might be set up slightly differently to when Wanayama had beast-mode engaged and a DM like him might not be quite as pivotal, but still.

Love Big Vic- he’s the reason my kids got into watching Tottenham. We even named the family Volvo after him because it kicks the shit out of anything that comes near it

He was so good in his first season it's a shame he got injured. It's an occurring theme with us and midfielders

Soft spot for Big Vic but clear his injuries have got the better of him. Skipp appearing to have kicked on again makes this an easier decision as well.

Yep both Sandro and Wanyama were well on their way to being elite DMs and both got shot down with knee injuries.

Vic was immense for a season and a bit. Screamer against the bindippers will always have a special place for us. But unfortunately i think its time he moved on.

And Sgt Wilson as well (albeit he also had his brother's kidnapping to cope with too). Three quality DMs all ruined through no fault of their own.

I reckon you may be looking at half that even. I thing it was posted somewhere that he may not pass a medical.
I reckon there's a transfer fee where the other club would take the risk and give him the OK.

Agree. The knee is such a tricky part of the body. I was speaking to a knee surgeon today who said that someone like oxlaide chamberlain who ruptured three ligaments in the knee will be amazingly lucky to get back to his previous level. Just shows what big vic has to go through.
