He was Spurs shit though!
I loved him! He had character. I remember after he stopped playing for us he was watching us play and someone on tv was interviewing him, but Stefan kept stopping to watch the game all through the interview. Lol

nO chance, he said in the summer if he were to leave it would only be to a barca/madrid level of a club
Which was basically my point.

14 out of 15 of the best wingers in the world, according to that list, are at bigger or better clubs than us.

The only one left is almost certainly destined for bigger things.

So Prem ready players in or around their prime or younger players to develop and integrate are our realistic options.

Fucking idiots at the club brought a player who has been struggling mentally/match sharpness for the last 3 years to get any form, to be our back up winger with the idea of him being used sporadically

Right now Son should be our back up winger but we are running him in to the ground

Also he can't play on the fucking right FFS

Yeah i'd rather have (a player from) Temu on the right than Timo
Like playing with ten.

Injuries, suspensions, form (and viruses) have really screwed is in almost every area but especially those WF areas.

The contrast between Werner and Neto (who was terrific today) in their respective positions was striking and says a lot about where we and Chelsea are as clubs.

Even more so when you consider that Chelsea actually binned Werner after realising he cannot fix the flaws in his game.

He’s not a bad player, but in a league where you can only have 17 non HG players he symbolises the lack of investment in our squad. Near enough is good enough.

He's done here in January I'd say, injuries dependent

Having said that, if this were Jose or Conte throwing a player like this under the bus I suspect there might be more of a reaction from certain quarters about the manager saying this.

It's clear the players we have in their prime years are not performing.

This was an opportunity for Werner to have another go at playing for a good club in a competitive league. He's really let himself and the team down this season.

I believe he is out of contract this summer. There's no way we should consider signing him. If he wants a similar salary he'll need to find a club with lots of money but a weak league.

Cancel the loan and get him out of here. If we can’t cancel the loan then just de-register him and sign an actual footballer.

The fact Ange and our recruitment team thought he’d be a good signing tells me they haven’t got a clue about squadbuilding. Shocking.

I do not think he is the only shot player we have. Seems a bit of a scapegoat.
Shit of Ange to call him out . I thought Son was equally shit today

Last season it worked because of the injuries he was coming in to a team with a guaranteed run of games

This season we signed him to be our back up despite the fact he has gone through a bad period mentally on the pitch

So he hasn't got much game time, started of the season poor, his heads gone down but he has now being forced to play because everyone else got injured

Blimey. Scapegoated by the boss

Johnson and Sonny were probably even less effective, If that is actually possible…

Yeah I think he's offering more than those two.

I think ange is just using him as an example as he knows he's only here on loan but the fall guy and the other seniors will know it's a bit of a message from ange for them as well.

I actually think Werner offered more tonight than Son and Johnson and goals aside the same applies for the season. Just an easy target with his shocking finishing

Feels a bit like Will Smith slapping Chris Rock. Ange going for an easy target when so many other senior players were non existent.

I hope at least behind closed doors he's saying the same to the like of Maddison and Bissouma. An 18 year old kid came on and grabbed the midfield more than either of those 'senior pros'.
