I thought he actually provided more impetus for us in his time on that Son or Johnson did. Johnson unfortunately reverted to Johnson 1.0 and Son, whilst some good things, decided that his only way forward was a wonder goal. Now, I cannot say that I was watching acutely in the last 30 mins but from what I saw, he at least challenged their defence and went around the outside. I'm also not convinced he should stay beyond Jan but I personally think he was actually better than a significant number of players on that pitch this afternoon
I agree. Apart from an awful, typical Timo finish he did most things right when he came on. Looked more switched on than most of the team, and much more dangerous than the other wingers.

Ridiculous of people to single him out today.

At least he showed fight. Doesn't mean that I want to keep him permanently but at least he does care and work hard, unlike most of our players today

Everyone loves a scapegoat but he’s not the reason we are 10th.

He’s not good enough, we all know that but he came on and was far from our worst.
We know he’s not good enough, Ange knows he’s not good enough, so unless there is no one better why is he picked. Didn’t Einstein say that definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expect different results.

He's right footed isn't he? I don't understand why he doesn't play on the right. He can't finish so we don't want him cutting inside but is quick & can get to the dead ball line. Why not just tell him to go down the line & try to cut the ball back to the penalty spot with his stronger foot?

He was the only player who looked capable of making something happen today.

The problem is that if that's the case you have a bunch of other massively underperforming players in the team.

His ceiling (from all evidence in the past year) is not good enough for where we want to be. But judged on a single performance today, imo he was the best in a white shirt.

Due to injuries… don’t think we have many alternatives.

As others have said, he was miles better than Son, Johnson and Kulusevski today. Strange player to pick on after that defeat.

That's the problem, he looked capable of making something happen, but didn't.

I just don't see a player who came on believing he could make a difference. When fit we need to be going Moore Werner's minutes for the rest of the season.

You mean like coming on here after a loss and getting reasoning and clear thought out remarks.

Not particularly about the Ipswich game as I thought he actually played well but last year we saw exactly what he was and how wasteful in front of goal he is but we still decided to re loan him? That decision in itself is a disgrace, did we actually think he’d suddenly have his shooting boots on this season when for the past few seasons he couldn’t hit a barn door? Or as expected it was all about going for the cheaper option.

Or Ange rates him.
