The finishing is what it’s all about . He must have had six 1 on 1‘s since he arrived and managed to hit the keeper every time. It’s in his head now so he has to be relegated to 3 on the left wing, Mikey has to be first change now. He was the same at Chelsea.
His finishing is lacking yes, but this clambering for Moore is a bit much. We know he can do it an under age level but there's nothing to prove that he can mix it fully in the PL yet, and Ange is absolutely right to wait, give him his opportunities in the EL first.

And it's not all about the finishing, its about what else both can potentially bring to the team on any given day and we know Timo can contribute in ways that Ange wants with pressing, running and movement. People are really sticking the knife in here after a poor game on Saturday but avoiding his contributions since he joined the club in January, which were really good.

Should never have be signed, awful player

At the time that he was signed on LOAN, Odobert wasn't signed leaving us with Son and injury prone Richy on the left. Solomon was on his way out of the club.

Richy has just returned from injury, Son was out and Odobert also injured.

What quality player do you expect to come to us and play behind Son, or Odobert or Richy?

Seriously, Moore is still being blooded in, yet you expect us to sign a Messiesque third in the pecking order winger?

Stick to Championship Manager.

Well we should’ve signed a top quality winger to compete with Son when we signed Werner.

Tell you what though no championship manager would sign Werner.

I think he only came on because Moore is down to start on Thursday. A goal would have done wonders but he was really, really poor. I think he’s just broken, and I would be more surprised if we didn’t terminate the loan in January.

He’s not a long term option, hence why we only renewed the loan, and he won’t get the time or minutes to get back into form (and even his top form is not quite good enough in my opinion).

Either when Odobert is fit, or if Moore gets a couple of goals or assist, I think Werner might struggle to get into a match day squad. To be honest, I think Spence should have his bench spot, he would offer more of an offensive threat right now

Moore is the future, "Moore gets a couple of goals or assist" is all ok.

Werner has one assist this season, last season he scored two in twelve (four as sub) and four assists.

At twenty eight he's not going to get better but in the grand scale of things has a lot of club and International experience, something we need coming of the bench providing fresh legs, or to pin an oppositions right back out wide tactically.

Moore will likely spend this season in the EL or coming on when a PL game has been won in the last ten minutes or so.

At the end of the day Ange works with these players week in week out and if he starts Werner or brings him off the bench ahead of Moore or any other player then that's fine by me.

This kind of comment is always made about the latest 'thing'. We lose and someone says it's the worst we've ever played and so on.........He's not the worst player we've had by a long way.

That's a whole different argument and irrelevant to the idea as to him being the 'worst' ever Spurs player.

We didn't pay a transfer fee for Werner, therefore 160k a week in real terms is a bargain in the modern game.

If there was a break clause I'm sure the club would have used it. Lesson for Levy and the recruitment team here. Leipzig were desperate to clear his wages so would have accepted a break clause

I wanted to see if I could make a full team of worse players/signings/loans than him, so here goes!

GK - Frode Grodas

LB - Paulo Tramezzani
CB - Federico Fazio
CB - Stuart Nethercott
RB - Noe Pamarot

MC - Garry Brady
MC - Stephen Clemence
MC - Benjamin Stambouli

FW - George’s Kevin Nkoudou
FW - Andy Booth
FW - Clinton N’Jie

Subs:

Espen Baardsen
Jamie O’Hara
Jason Cundy
Jamie Dozzell
Fraiser Campbell
Roberto Soldado
Helder Postiga

There were also a good few that just didn’t make the bench. But oh boy we have had tonnes of worse players than Werner over the years.
o'hara's a bit of a plum but i don't think he belongs in that list.

My biggest concern yesterday was that even his touch seems to have deserted him.
It's like his confidence is so low that he's over thinking everything and far too tense.

I'm not sure what's the best thing to do for that, play him through it or sit him out for a bit?

Feel really sorry for him at the moment and his couple of poor touches yesterday drew massive groans from the crowd, which is only going to pile more pressure on him.

he might be an away from home player for a while

That's a good call and takes the crowd pressure off his shoulders.
I hadn't actually thought of that option but it makes sense for me.

There were some groans but to be fair after that a lot of fans in that area started clapping him and really encouraging him quite loudly. I know this as I was one of them.

I had him score 30-something goals as a Pressing forward first season in FM24, so you'd be wrong yet again ;)

whilst he’s frustrating, I’ve yet to see Ange be proven wrong with any of the signings he’s approved. I’m giving Timo the rest of the season before making a decision

Raziak isn't good enough to make even this squad.

He's only on loan. So why are people so up in arms over him? I doubt we'll ever sign him permanently given his age and the younger options coming through in Moore and Yang (who is yet to be tested so we can't just say he'll be the best thing since sliced bread).

He's a temporary option whilst those young players develop. That's it.

If have Ndombele in there and Darren Bent. At least Soldado was trying!

That's pretty much how I saw the loan. Sonny is still first choice in that position, and Moore/Odebert are just a little too young/raw to take the back up role for this season, so we loan a player who is happy to play #2, does have international experience, and by all accounts is good to have around and works hard. We don't have to worry about offloading him, because that's baked in - he's going back to his parent club whatever.
