One of the worst players I've ever seen in a Spurs shirt. Harsh, but really just brutal to watch him.
This kind of comment is always made about the latest 'thing'. We lose and someone says it's the worst we've ever played and so on.........He's not the worst player we've had by a long way.
The dross we’ve had over the last few decades weren’t earning £165k a week. He’s a very expensive passenger to carry.
That's a whole different argument and irrelevant to the idea as to him being the 'worst' ever Spurs player.

Feel like Ange should take him out of the firing line for a bit, give Moore those minutes and Wilson will be back soon too

Yeah, he's definitely not the worst, or even close to it.

However it seems he's one of the highest-paid players at the club. If reports are accurate, only Son earns significantly more. Werner is in the same wage bracket as Romero and Maddison and reportedly earns nearly twice as much as Solanke. So it's not just that he's on big money compared to players of the past, he's on big money compared to the rest of the squad. I don’t hold that against him—one common criticism of ENIC is their reluctance to pay big salaries for experienced players. But it does put the deal into more context. It's understandable for fans to question whether that's good value, the same as they question the value of transfer fees for certain players.

I wanted to see if I could make a full team of worse players/signings/loans than him, so here goes!

GK - Frode Grodas

LB - Paulo Tramezzani
CB - Federico Fazio
CB - Stuart Nethercott
RB - Noe Pamarot

MC - Garry Brady
MC - Stephen Clemence
MC - Benjamin Stambouli

FW - George’s Kevin Nkoudou
FW - Andy Booth
FW - Clinton N’Jie

Subs:

Espen Baardsen
Jamie O’Hara
Jason Cundy
Jamie Dozzell
Fraiser Campbell
Roberto Soldado
Helder Postiga

There were also a good few that just didn’t make the bench. But oh boy we have had tonnes of worse players than Werner over the years.

Or, maybe the firing line can just stand down...

I think Werner will continue to see minutes ahead of Moore for the rest of the season - not based on their respective attacking abilities, but rather on Werner's understanding of the broader responsibilities with that position.

As Moore gains more experience in Europa and Cup matches, he will start to learn the defensive responsibilities - and earn more minutes. But, I suspect, we are not going to rush Moore, at his age, and that he will be a bigger part of the squad next season.

I honestly feel bad for him, he's got the talent, but his confidence is absoloutley shot. It's nothing like Johnson, it's gone on too long to be a form thing.

Normally I'd point to a player not being good enough because he doesn't have a certain ability. But his is definitely a mental thing.

He goes to pieces in the final third, whenever he has a critical decision to make he fluffs it.

If he doesn't sort it out quickly his spurs career (and his footballing one) is going to be over. He reminds me of a boxer that's lost one too many fights.

I still hope he turns it round, but it's hard to see. I think he'll start against AZ but if he struggles again I think it'll be his last start for us. Which is sad given how much talent he has.

Never has the phrase 'needs a goal' been more apt. We're all rooting for you.

My biggest concern yesterday was that even his touch seems to have deserted him.
It's like his confidence is so low that he's over thinking everything and far too tense.

I'm not sure what's the best thing to do for that, play him through it or sit him out for a bit?

Feel really sorry for him at the moment and his couple of poor touches yesterday drew massive groans from the crowd, which is only going to pile more pressure on him.

Yep, agree with you, his confidence must be at rock bottom. I don't think playing him through it is going to do him or the team any favours. Much as I would like him to come good I think a parting of ways would be best for him and us. Hopefully a new start might reignite his career.

He's been fine. Bit ropey when he came on on Saturday but otherwise been generally ok whilst having a bit of a final ball problem at the moment.

Neither Moore (still basically a kid) or Oderbert (still young and settling in) have been magnificent when they've been on outside of against pretty poor Europa League opposition.

Happy to trust that Ange knows what he's doing when he brings him on and glad he's part of the squad.

As my mate said when he watched game with me, he's a very good player but his shooting is just gone. I really would love it to return but I'm worried his confidence is completely drained.

Slowly claps in admiration at the effort put in there putting a whole team together…!!

(i’d swap in Radiak for Soldado though - Soldado at least showed decent link up play, Rasiak was one of the worse players I’ve seen. It was an fa cup game and he partnered Keano up top and was so poor, couldnt even control the ball!).

Moore might be only 17 but with out doubt he would contribute a lot more
I'm sorry, we all want Mikey to be the next big thing, and he looks like he can be, but there's absolutely no way you can say that without doubt he would contribute a lot more than Timo would.

Moore had a good game against really poor EL opposition, and had a fleeting appearance vs Brighton.

Save for a few bad touches where we'd actually taken our foot completely off the gas when he came on the pitch on Saturday, Timo has been fine this season, he played well v Brighton and had Veltman rattled. He was good vs United, and unfortunately his finishing let him down.

But he's a good option for the squad, especially if we want to compete on all fronts this season

The finishing is what it’s all about . He must have had six 1 on 1‘s since he arrived and managed to hit the keeper every time. It’s in his head now so he has to be relegated to 3 on the left wing, Mikey has to be first change now. He was the same at Chelsea.
