Werner has had at least 3 one on ones in the few games he’s played. If he keeps getting them, he’ll slot one sooner or later. Some players will only get that many in a season.

But it’ll keep the opposition right back and RCB on the back foot. It will create space elsewhere too.

He does everything right except the finish. He was part of the team that dismantled and rattled United. Keep that going whilst Son is out.

His movement definitely creates space for others. Regardless of dis finishing defenders aren’t looking and being like oh it’s only werner making that run in behind…. It drags defenders around and frees up channels for others

Just watched the Liverpool palace highlights. Eze hits a one on one straight at the gk (which he has done before) and gets no abuse or comments. All the moaners need to back off.

I've just gone through the Prem highlights on Sky's YouTube. Adama Traore and Timo Werner are so alike. They do so well to get into the position of a chance but the end product is poor.

Every player misses chances every now and then. It happens. Vardy did yesterday. Son's missed one on ones previously. It happens.

I would only take him out if Son is fit or if he wasn't performing in the rest of his game the way Ange wants. Which he is doing. He takes on defenders and puts the ball in. He works his socks off.

Most players don't have the pace to get in behind as regularly as he does, just accept that his final ball/finishing is unlikely to be consistent and enjoy him for what he is when he does play, if you're focusing just on his final output you miss the overall benefit he brings to the team.

Of course he isn't starting quality when all are fit but as a squad filler whilst we develop Moore and shortly Yang, he is doing ok.

That’s putting it lightly mate.

He’s just not good enough.
As much as we want to back our players, we have to call it as it is.
‘Awful’ is obviously harsh, but the blind faith I’ve seen towards him is naive.
I don't think many have blind faith in him just are giving a more balanced view of his performances rather than just saying he is 'awful' which if you watch him play he clearly isn't.

It isn't blind faith. It's recognising what he offers despite his flaws.

I added the word ‘forward’ for a reason.
He obviously has some good attributes.
In the final third tho, where he’s playing as a wide forward, it’s just not good.

Assist for 'terrible' Timo ;)

He's not perfect but I do think some on here don't appreciate what qualities he does and is bringing due to his pace, movement, workrate etc.
