This is wishful thinking. I dont think Mikey is anywhere close to TImo. The diff in physicality is vast.Painful to watch. The quicker we can integrate Mikey the better
Thought Onana deserves a lot of credit on the first one he was out to Werner in a flash and on the second I thought he pulled off a top drawer save. Onana had a hell of a game pulling off top drawer saves on the Madds and Solanke 1v1’s as well as Werner’s.Think he shot too early on both chances, he should have gone on for another metre or so for both. It’s a classic sign of a player with low self belief who seems happy to just get a shot on target
Nah, you can't give him a 7/10 when he missed two one on ones.Thought he offered quite a bit to our play. A luxury that we can tolerate two very good chances being missed but still a solid 7/10 for me.

Yes we shouldn’t have re signed him but he is still a pretty good player .
His pressing is excellent, he offer pace in behind and fulfills the role Ange asks. It’s just his finishing that lets him down.
Chances missed aside yesterday he was very good, and whilst it probably shouldn’t be true of an experienced pro he clearly suffers from poor confidence and that effects him in front of goal.
Get behind him as he will be a real asset if he can knock a couple of goals in.
He's a disastrous finisher and it must be psychological.
He's always been that guy, that never stopped. Look at what Leipzig fans said when Chelsea bought him, he is playing exactly the same then as now. Go back to threads when he was linked with clubs (including spurs) in 2014 when he was still at stuttgart because it was exactly the same, he hasn't changed. Fast, hard working etc but technically rough around the edges and needs to improve finishing a lot, but if he improves those things he could be a monster. Fast forward 10 years and how much has he progressed? It's exactly the same deficiencies in his game. It was a bit better in terms of finishing but Leipzig created so many chances and so much better chances tearing teams apart that he could actually score goals, but even then he's never been a good finisher, ever. Apologies for trhe self indulgence but quoting myself from January before he joined:
Does that not describe him as a player? I used to watch the guy now and then because Leipzig were a fun team and his entire career is deja vu, you could swap him as a player in his late teens, early-mid 20s and now at any point in his career the end result would be near identical, I don't know if I've he's improved as a player whatsoever. Worst kind of hope because he clearly has some of the tools to be a good player, but he hasn't been able to refine other parts of his game to push him on at all and take himself to the next level
I think this is the timo Werner thread and you should try and debate that in the man united one if it bothers you so much that I heard a talking point on the athletic pod and thought it was an interesting one.Do you still think the United squad is better? Lol
Let's see how Yang does first and not have unrealistic expectations of an 18-year-old coming straight from S.Korea.I wonder if he will get less playing time when Yang joins us in the coming January
Ok but if we didn’t renew his loan… we would have had a 17 year old starting and no winger on the bench? We needed him from a squad building perspective. This is not a form thing. He is just not very good, end of discussion and never has been. He has pace but that's about it. There's no skill, guile or intelligence to anything he does.
Ange made a mistake renewing his loan. The sooner he goes the better it is for the development of others.
All IMO of course.
