If he has too long to think or too many options he ussually picks the wrong one, aside from the chances there was one where he had 3 options in the box and managed to miss all of them.

He was good today overall, but there might be times when we need one of those chances to go in.

Sure he will be a decent part of the squad but relying on him to score is not really a thing

I think he did OK. Some good moments and at times left their left back with a change of direction beautifully.
He is a poor finisher but we know that.
he should have had two or three goals or assists today but let's not say he wasn't in some ways affective. I still think it is too early for Mikey to starts. I think Timo starts on Thursday.

People will meme him for his finishing and decision making but that was his best performance in a Spurs shirt.

I'll let you decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
Was watching the match with 2 United fans and they were surprised how good he was today.

Remember when he was so highly rated at Leipzig? What’s happened to that guy? He looks like a deer in the headlights ALL the time when he’s through on goal.

I don't want to pile on but if he isn't already working with a sports psychologist, he should start doing so.

Both opportunities were really down to his lack of faith in himself to score. It's like he's already resigned to missing when he's in those positions.

Shame as a goal or two today would've have a positive impact on his form and confidence.
There’s a good player hiding in there I’m sure of it. Like you say I don’t think he believes that he will finish those chances.

He’s getting in good positions and working really hard but it’s just not happening for him.

I felt really bad for him after one of his chances when our fans starting chanting for Mikey Moore. I thought that was out of order tbh with you. When a player misses a chance you shouldn’t be chanting for him to be subbed. Yes we all want Mikey to get his chance, but I just thought that was a bit off.

Awful with a capital A

Could have won 6-0 if he could finish/pass.

Last season away to Newcastle, he cost us with chances missed. Got away with it today, but cannot have costly passengers like him. If all he can do is run the ball up the pitch with minimal contribution to actually scoring

I think he made a lot of good runs today and got into some really good positions. That said I don't think anyone of us expected him to score when he had his two really good opportunities since he is low in self belief. But what really disappointed me is when he came running down the flank in the end and managed to miss three fellow spurs players with a rather simple cut back/pass inwards. Don't understand how he can miss that so totally with a bit of time on his hands.

Yeah it's not going to help his confidence, that kind of thing. Difficult one because you can't blame fans for wanting MM on.

Can't lie it did make me chuckle one of his best contributions (getting Udogie on that ball) was unintentional.

The thing is he's a threat with his pace and directness, it opens up space for others.

Yea his finishing and awareness when he could of easily picked a few options out were so poor, but he still contributed to that win today but if he had more confidence we would of been out of sight

So looks like we’ve move onto Werner now Johnson has started to come into some form, it was Sarr last week too, then Son, before Maddison, then Kulu most of last year. Yes he’s not in great form and yes likely can be improved upon, but until that point let’s at least get behind them and give them confidence.

honestly some on here need to give your head a wobble and let’s support our own

There were a few times outside of the goal scoring opportunities where he looked completely bereft of confidence.

If Son and Odebert are fit he's not making the match day squad. I wasn't a fan of the renewal of the loan but I was talked around by some in here into seeing it as being a sensible idea. After today, I cannot see how he is anything but a man on the pitch. Not much point being as quick as he is if he's forever squandering the 1v1's he's put in to.
You can't really blame him for that. If any of us were rubbish at football and found ourselves in his line of work, we'd lack confidence!

Agree, support the team - I make plenty of mistakes at work, I am glad I am not part of the starting eleven (or work for an emergency service)

Missed chances aside, he was very good today.

Fits the tactical system, works hard, pace causes opposition problems and the little flick to udogie create a good chance along with his cross first half which only just glanced past our players in the box.

He offers a lot to the team, but he can't finish to save his life at the moment.

Should consider working with a sports psychologist, as its clearly a mental block.

Of course if he's selected I'll always support him and hope he does well, however he fills me with no confidence at all. Most progressive passes are over or under hit, and he lacks courage in the tackle. I'm not sure a scoring instinct can be taught so I just can't see him being a goal threat which is essential given the opportunities he gets into. If we hadn't suffered the injuries to Son, Richalison and Odobart I don't really see a place for him in the match day squad. I'm unsure if Mikey Moore is ready to start whilst we have players out injured, but do feel he offers more of a goal threat and integrates with the team play more naturally.

Thought he was solid outside of his finishing but to be honest if his finishing was top class he probably wouldn't be playing for us so swings and roundabouts.
