I hope to God it does. Dragging us down.

I had an awful feeling after that moron walked up to him with his camera on and asked “why do you miss open goals?”

I don’t think he’ll ever get his confidence back, odds were slim to begin with.
I think he made sense last season. As a stop gap he was very useful but to me it was incredibly clear that is all he was. A short term stop gap. Retaining him for another season made very little sense to me at the start of the window and still makes little sense to me.

Absolutely. Fine to plug the hole last season, but if we’re trying to develop and build something, we need players with belief and confidence.

Must be hard when you are a loaned player and the side you are playing for is performing badly. I hope we turn it around with performances and results and Timo is able to repay the faith of Ange for re loaning him with some great performances.

I was fine with us extending the loan, because last season I actually thought he was effective doing a thing this team really needs – successfully going around the fullbacks on the outside and putting in decent crosses and cut-backs.

But if he is going to stop doing that there is no purpose of him at all. Did he try beating his man on the outside even once today? Felt like he somehow ended up at the halfway line every time he had the chance.

I thought he'd have a good season (based on low expectations) and his ability (evidenced last season) of being able to beat his man and cross into the danger area.

Don't think he's done it once since pre season started.

I guess it's early days but not looking great is he.

People are being very generous with how good he was last season. You could count on one hand how many times he beat his man. And he didn't do much when he did.

But I've slated him this season like the rest of us but he was OK for us and when he got injured I think at home against the scum I like others were annoyed. Maybe that was in part to no back ups but I remember that moment

Now I don't want him to take any more minutes off Moore

waste of a squad place for me. Should have been replaced long before Bergvall was. said at the time that extending his loan showed us our real ambition as a club

Clown of a player.

Absolute shit, who’d have thought it?

I get the disappointment - I do. We all want better.

But, these are the types of comments that lead to players taking dog's abuse on social media. I think Werner is giving us what he can - it's just not enough right now. But, we can't change that, and beating him up over it really isn't going to solve things either.

I think he has the skills to help us - but he was not on the same page as Udogie a few times tonight, so passes were missed. And, I don't think Solanke is the type of striker who benefits from Werner putting a low cross into the box.

But, somehow we need to separate the disappointment in the play, from the player himself. When the player stops trying - I am with you - but when the player is not good enough - that is not something to beat over their head.

I don't understand what the problem is with having him as a loan? There is no obligation to buy him and he is clearly just there as a back-up behind Odobert and Son on the left. What's the issue that has got some of you so upset about it?

He’s shit.

Nelson, Danjuma etc etc

Werner added to that list.

At least with those previous mistakes they were last minute 'opportunities'.

I cannot fathom why we decided to push that button early.

Unless we were never intending to sign another attacker bar Odobert which is quite frankly pathetic.

Top 6 team doing business like Everton
