Think we need to knock that 165k down a bit to take him back on whatever contractual basis

Between Son, Solomon, and the kids mentioned and Werner we have the left side covered.

I'd rather Kulu as CF cover than Son, based on the limited evidence available

We need to sign quality up top and on the right

I thought our performances dropped off when Werner got injured. Think he is an ideal back up for Son personally.
They did but I imagine we will look at a winger than can replace son eventually on the left and one that can operate better on the right.

Then we kind of have a mix.

Think if we get Werner we are overloaded on the left but lack a player that can grow and seamlessly replace Son in time

Changed my mind on Werner.

I wouldn't buy him and i'd sell Gil and Solomon too. Keep Richy and sign two wingers or one winger and a striker. Promote one of Santiago or Moore.

Good guy, but we need someone to take us to the next level and I don't think it's him. For that role we need someone to score regularly.

He's too limited to be anything more than a stop gap signing. We should go all out for a more complete player and if that doesn't materialise then revisit Timo.

and what has Gil done in a Spurs shirt?
back to Werner - I rather us signing a top player and use our youth to fill the squad instead of signing 2 ok-ish players who we will probably struggle to shift in a few years after finding out that they are not good enough, which I think Werner would fall into this category. It's not like we are considering keeping or selling Werner, we need to pay 17m to sign him.
True about Gil , he has done very little but not sure Santiago would be any improvement on Werner. The Australia tour and the pre season to S Korea & Japan will decide if Santiago has any future at Spurs as his contract expires in 2025.

Please read my post again. I am not talking about choosing Werner or Santiago/Moore to compete with Son at LW.

Most likely Timo will have found another home rather than just sit waiting for the telephone to ring from us.

Still think we should keep him. We need to be planning to play 50+ games next season. Signing one left winger is not going to be enough given that someone will get injured at some point, and Timo has already proved he can be very effective in this system, is comfortable at the club, rapid, and is relatively cheap.

We weren't good in the second half of the season, but we were absolutely toilet at times after he got injured.

All those saying we shouldn’t sign him do realise how our goals dried up once he got injured right?

I don't want to fall into the trap of just wanting the next shiny new thing but while his loan has been a success, I just think there is probably better, and younger, out there.

Need to stop all the "at that price" and start signing players that are of the level we need or have scope to grow beyond the level.

His finishing is laughable and he's extremely one dimensional. Was a good plan signing with little to lose but not a long term solution.

What do you mean 1 dimensional, he was a threat on the break, also when playing out wide or cutting it back in the box.

He wasn’t 1 dimensional at all

He runs fast and crosses the ball. No range of passing and has the shot power of a 5 year old girl

Price is obviously going to be a factor in the real world though, isn't it? If we want to sew up LW for the next 5 years it might cost us £100m+ on two players, and we're obviously not going to be spending that this summer if we want any other players, I would suggest is the reality.
