In 3 years he will be as good as Pogba in his prime. And he'll use the number 10 when Harry's gone.
What exactly is prime Pogba though?

I am struggling to remember a game in which Pogba dominated and ran. He always seems to do it in spurts. Whilst it's important to realise Ndombele's limitations, I do believe that if he starts to be more like Pogba and play the beautiful passes but lose the ball in bad areas and not track back we'll have a massive problem.

Jose's issue with Pogba was his all round game and consistency. He may have scored a couple of goals but he was still not helping the team out off the ball. Which is why Jose nipped it in the bud with Ndombele as soon as he arrived.

Peak Pogba, to me anyway, is a player who spreads the ball about, drives the ball forward and picks some wonderful passes YET is so focused on that that he doesn't work as hard defensively. I think we need to avoid that, unless of course he plays further forward and we relieve him off defensive duties completely, which I think won't be ideal.

As long as he tracks back, intercepts and does the dogged work then I think we'll see consistency as he always has the capability to come up with a couple of game changing moments.

I know it's a lazy comparrison but I do get some faint Dembele vibes from Tanguy and no... it's not because of the similar surnames
He's got that similar ability to surprise players, avoid the press and beat them in tight situations. Dembele used more strength while Ndombele has a bit more trickery about him.

I think Dembele was a unique talent and one of the best players I've seen in a Spurs shirt, but I actually think Ndombele could prove to be a more effective player for us. His passing is 10 times better than Dembele's, who was always an extremely conservative passer, slowing down our play and rarely getting an assist or creating a chance in his entire time at Spurs. Ndombele on the other hand is probably only behind Kane in terms of passing ability at the club and offers us a lot more going forward in general.

Watch that again and then watch how many times he baits Bruno, and then uses strength, skill or a turn of pace to get away and create space. The 3rd time it happens Bruno's body language looks fed up.

It's brilliant
It has to be why Bruno was taken off for McTominay. Bruno kept on diving in and getting beat, casuing imbalances we could exploit. McTominay comes in, and you see him "shadowing" about 5 yards off NDombele, suggesting that his remit was to try and close down passing lanes, and not get suckered in.

Absolute baller. Check the Man Utd players body language after that pass at 1:03. Not only is Ndombele ridiculously skilful, his unorthodox movement and demeanour makes him very hard to dispossess - as a teammate you pretty much always have to anticipate receiving a pass from him no matter how unlikely it seems.

And he can rest, recuperate and train at the lodge for the next fortnight rather than going away on silly International duty.

That was mightily impressive considering how Chelsea pressed him almost every time he had the ball.

I know people say dembele and I understand with how he keeps the ball and resists the press. But his passing makes him better imo.

I know he needs to be consistent, but if he plays like this for the rest of the season we are talking world class. I cannot think of a single player like him, who is that good.

If he did it was on social media. Every time I watch him I don’t see the fuss.

A bit harsh. he has games where he's head and shoulders the best player on the pitch and nobody can get near him.

His biggest problem is that he seems to pick and choose when to have those games, which turns him into a highlights player.

Pogbas long passing and vision are out of this world the rest is a myth I wouldn't swap them and I was pissed off with Tanguy for the lack of effort last year but Pogba has been doing that for how many years now?

A player spends 90+ mins on the pitch and actually has the ball for 2 mins. Must be so frustrating.

Dunno if these new quotes have been posted yet

Nice to read but it does make me worry how he'll react to critisism in the future because honestly, he deserved to be called out for that Burnley display.

Pogba seems to suit games with a slower pace as he can drop deep and float balls over the top. When it becomes frantic or high paced I don't think he has the instinct defensively with his positioning which is why he gets bypassed easily and why coaches prefer him alongside a real DM like Kante for example. He's not a number 10 cause he can't play in between the lines, he needs the game in front of him, problem is his positioning and work off the ball.

Jose was trying to use him as a deep lying playmaker but he would just get caught on the ball leaving space behind him as he would stray from that position.

I firmly believe Jose tried all he could with Pogba and then started to come round to the idea he wasn't a player who could be moulded and that's why he wanted to sell. Same with Martial.

Ndomble seems to have been given a role further up although he is still required to drop back and help out. But at least this takes some pressure off him because he can take more risks on the ball and not be worried about being exposed shluld he lose it as two CMs shluld still be behind him.

Thankfully that's one aspect Pogba and Ndombele differ. Ndombele can play in tight spaces and doesn't need to see the game in front of him to manoeuvre or play into. Pogba can't do that effectively, as he's more like Dele and likes to use flicks and tricks to create. Ndombele has the dribbling ability of a winger which adds an extra dimension.
