Some excellent passes and work rate from him yesterday. He likes to fizz the ball forwards to feet at every opportunity, not stop, wait, and pass back to the CB’s. You can see why our strikers haven’t been the same for a while without Eriksen and Dembele in midfield. Really can’t wait for PEH, Gio, and Ndom to get a run of games together, with Bale, Kane, and Son ahead of them. Woooooo!!! Those 6 can rival anyone in this league. If Skriniar comes in and Reguilon in the back four. Wow.

Another thing I like about Ndombele, is his all black boots
. ✅
This all day long. Should be mandatory for all.

I know quite a few on here will disagree but Tanguy at his worst last season was not as bad as he was portrayed. He has improved for sure but he was not the utter shite mou made him out to be before. I think he was the scapegoat of a manager's turgid, unimaginative style of play that restricted him and others from playing their natural game. The minute mou wakes to the fact that our best XI has GLC playing alongside TN and with us controlling the game rather than defending for ninety minutes then we will see both these players move to a next level

Great last night but im still not convinced yet. Need him to do this for a few matches in a row before i fully trust him.

Very encouraging to see him play 90 mins and grow into the game. Need to keep in mind how poor the opposition were though. If he can stay fit and find his form it could make our season, he has so much talent.

I felt it was a game of 2 halves for him. He's always great on the ball and showed his quality there throughout the whole game.

Off the ball there was a big difference in the 2nd 45 for me. Showing for a pass in particular. In the first half when the defence had the ball and were looking to transition it into midfield he seemed really far from the play on several occasions and didn't run into good space to collect it.

At his best yesterday there was echoes of Dembele about him though which was exciting to see. His tenacity in the 2nd half was also encouraging.

I know it shouldn't be the case but some players struggle to motivate themselves for these types of games and play to the level of the occasion and opponent. I think the bigger the game the better he will be. He's not built up fitness, a run of games and therefore form since joining us. I'm very excited to see him progress throughout this season.

Enjoyed watching him last night, but it was against a team from a country with 2m occupants who really don’t have a ‘top tier’ football club. He played well though.

Jury is still out from me though. I understand everyone is desperate for him to succeed, but some of the OTT praise comments are almost to an equal of the previous negative ones.

Keep doing the right things TN and hopefully you’ll start against The Geordies and take another positive step forward ?

Fantastic last night everything that he wasn't doing last season off the ball. I hope he keeps his foot down and keeps working hard as I think his fitness still isn't at the top level yet and that will be vital when we play games where the opposition dominate the ball. I hope he plays next Tuesday as that will be a big test of his fitness levels now.

He’s no Dembele, nobody is, but there’s something about him that makes me enjoy watching him that you don’t often get from a player in that position. Rather have him in my team than not. Will be lethal with full match fitness and confidence.

For me I loved watching him on the ball and those defence splitting passes, but I was buzzing when he tracked back and produced a brilliant defensive header under our own posts, real commitment which Jose clearly appreciated ?

What I'm pleased about is that his defensive endeavour in CM means we won't have to have him playing at AM which means he won't have to play that pressing role the AM does which I think would probably prove a little too difficult and suits Lo Celso and even Dele more as they have those ridiculous fitness levels.

Pretty sure Dembele was at AZ at the same age as Tanguy is now and playing as a striker? Give him five years and maybe we’ll see our new midfield monster blossom as Mousa did. He already looks pretty damn good though.

We all know he's amazing on the ball but i had the biggest grin on my face when i saw him tracking back or just bullying people off the ball. If he has that same commitment in the league then we'll be flying

I hoped for so long he’d play a whole 90 mins and he did.
This is big! I think most of us (both fan boys and haters alike) thought he’d never manage it with us.

TN is 23 so Dembele would have just joined Fulham at his age, if I'm not mistaken.

I've said many times now, give him games back to back then we'll see a true reflection of his brilliance.

Only caught the second half but I thought overall he was probably our most involved player (although once again the team went up a few levels with the introduction of Gio).

My favourite bits were the less Tanguy stuff like the defensive work, including a great back post header to deny a counter attack goal. Plus of course that beastly run in the 87th minute showing his fitness is coming on.

Such a huge bonus to see him have a real go at turning his career around, luckily circumstances went in our favour on this (I'm pretty sure had someone offered £50m+ he was off) and we managed to get to this point. Still plenty of work to go before he can reach the potential we are hoping for, which is being one of the first names on the teamsheet, but promising signs nonetheless.

At 23 he could be a massive player us for many years. Keep it up Tanguy!

That’s exactly what this team needs. Someone on 200k a week who will be good in 2025 :ROFLMAO:

Don’t get me wrong, I think the guy is talented, and it’s great that he seems to be finally getting in the managers good books. Hopefully he will push on and make a massive contribution this season.
