Jose roasting him FFS. Saying he needs to give more and has had enough time to adapt, but hopes he will be fantastic next season. Make or break perhaps...
I personally thought he was fine first half by the way lol

And here in lies the problem. He was fucking abysmal, like the rest of our team and coach.

This guy needs to sort himself out! I am a massive fan of his but clearly something is amiss. You have to have confidence and the right attitude to succeed in football and he's clearly missing both currently and has missed the right attitude for some time if previous teammates are to be believed. He is a massive talent but he needs to put the effort it. Milner isn't the greatest footballer you will see, but he's bloody good because he's committed and puts the effort in. He needs to sort it out as soon as possible as it's becoming a joke now.
You also need the manager to back you. Mourinho has to take some responsibility as well instead of throwing players under the bus... he played 5 at back first half against Burnley then paired Ndombele with Skipp nothing against Skipp changed the system completely second half and pushed us further up field.

His post match interview was typical Mourinho and Im struggling to see a way back for Ndombele imo very poor by Mourinho.

NDombele plays best with the ball at his feet so constantly lumping the ball long this bypassing him means he isn’t going to shine. He clearly has fitness issues and struggling to adapt to the league. Am not sure publicly calling him out is gonna do much to help him progress.

He’s tried everything else and it hasn’t worked. Calling him out is about the only thing left.

This is all getting a bit messy

Jose is clearly frustrated by him, but I am not sure this public shaming is the best way to man manage him

It's hard to defend the kid currently

He does clearly have talent though, with the right circumstances I feel he could be a star alongside Le Celso in the centre of the park

I’ve defended Ndombele through the injury spell but I have to say I think Jose’s comments are fair. It’s absurd that we’ve got a group of players who we haven’t been able to rotate at all, and who are clearly fatigued, who nevertheless display far more desire and commitment than Ndombele. He’s got to sort his attitude out and if it takes being publicly challenged by the manager then so be it.
That's so wrong....you can't put that first half performance solely down to Ndombele. Mourinho is an idiot he has pervious with other players at different clubs he can't help himself.

Sell in the summer if we can get our money back or near it. Need to cut our loses and buy someone who actually wants to play for us. He doesn’t look like he does.

Did any of our players look comfortable in the shape we played in the 1st half?

Asking players low on confidence, sharpness and settlement to play in unfamiliar roles is disastrous.

Did the back 3 look settled?

Everybody was shite in the 1st half because of the tactics, not the personnel.

Mourinho got his tactics completely wrong and basically got out of jail by throwing Ndombele under the bus...... So poor. I couldn't believe what I heard from him.

Whilst I totally get Jose‘a criticism of him, I also think it’s very harsh to single him out when Skipp was equally bad.
The pair of them have no ideal of spacial awareness when it comes to team mates. Formation didn't help either in the first half, but they barely showed a thing in 45 minutes of football.

I saw this guy play against Villa at the start of the season, seemed to be no problem then.

The only thing you can criticise Jose for in that interview was the fact he said it so publicly. Otherwise everything he said was correct? I love Ndombele and I think if he got fit he’d be one of the best in Europe. That’s where Jose’s frustration stems from. He’s looking for a reaction.

So do you think NDombele is feeling the pressure and choking after his big move...

...or does he think he's 'made it' after his big move and can't be bothered (on 200k a week, etc)?

The situation seems a bit strange.
