Fingers crossed he starts tomorrow and shows everyone what he can do. We need him more than ever now.

Wait 10 minutes and someone will find a photo of him walking during training, a different angle photo, or something else and we'll spin up the rage machine again.

I don't think there is much disputing that he's not fully match fit at the moment. Or even if he can go 90, maybe not in the manner we differe in perceiving it should be carried out. How we all choose to ingest that is up to our own personality.

With Son Injured we should play 433

Lloris

Aurier
Toby
Sanchez
Davies

Lo Celso
Winks
Ndombele

Burgwjin
Alli
Lucas
On reflection, the Son injury makes the Ndombele situation even more infuriating. If Son picked up the injury early in the game as has been suggested then that means that he stayed on the pitch and played through the pain (including being the player still alive enough to run through and score our winner in the 94th minute), and in contrast we're seeing an uninjured Ndombele just not in a condition to play matches.

It's shit like this that really drags me over to the other side of the line, I am fucking furious with Ndombele now. Sort your shit out, you unprofessional tart.
How have you squared Son breaking his hand to the alleged unfitness of Ndombele.

Ndombele had injuries also as has Kane Lloris Lo Celso Sessengnon Lamela Dier Winks Davies Alli

I really don't get your point

I'm saying that I was already frustrated with Ndombele's lack of readiness to play regular first team minutes despite not being injured, and that the contrast in seeing Son play most of a game whilst injured (making a matching-winning contribution in the process) only compounds that frustration because it's a clear demonstration that Ndombele's desire to get himself on the pitch isn't at the same level of some of our other players, and I wish to fuck that it was.

I remember there was a table somewhere for most successful dribbles per attempt somewhere in this thread and that ndombele was way out ahead. I just can’t find it. We missed out on Grealish, but can nobody else see ndombele having a similar role that is far more based on attacking and getting into dangerous areas (either to play a pass after beating the man or get hacked in a dangerous spot)?

I know Grealish has the most dribbles in the league by far and has great upper body strength but surely ndombele is capable of that.

I don’t see any defensive awareness or desire to see him any deeper.

Come on Tanquy prove the doubters wrong!!!!!!
“Doubt”? What is there to doubt? Do you have eyes?
Most of us see his talent, but we also see his minimal contribution to the team due to a lack of fitness. That lack has him panting on the field & under performing. Plus, causing him strains & muscle pulls that means we can’t even put him on the pitch!
For some reason, how much we paid for a guy is not supposed to be the player’s “fault”. OK, so how about the 10 million pounds we’re paying him? It would be kind of nice if he could put in a good 90 minutes occasionally!

Last year he played 49 games averaging almost 80 minutes per game, the year before 50 games averaging 70 minutes per game. The drop off is incredible and has to be more than just fitness.

He's had 3 injuries this season to his groin, hamstring and hip. The first time he's had lay offs so maybe he's struggling with the recovery mentally as well as physically.
