I remember driving from my girlfriends, now my wife, straight to a match sunday morning and puking all over the steering wheel and my lap as I drove.
Played a blinder lol.

Do you reckon it might be because you stunk of vomit so none of the opposition players wanted to get near you? ??

The odd thing is I don't recall Tanguy being this slow/unfit in the first few matches of the season (like in his debut against Villa).

It real weird this one.

Undoubted talent on the ball but looks way off pace athleticism wise and off the field work. All the easy, ugly side. If his attitude is right, he should overcome it.

On the ball him and Lo Celso are my favourite players to watch, but one looks ready for the Premier league and one doesn't. I thought it would have been the other way around, but Tanguy really looks like he needs to work hard in pre season to get to the level where we need him to be.

Off topic but week later I stuck hazard lights on while I parked up for a few minutes.
When I got back I couldnt turn them off because button was stuck down with sick.
You can read all about it in the biography of my football career lol.

Just to add to my previous post, I also don't think the fact he knows exactly where he is supposed to be tactical is really helping him. At least if he knew were he was supposed to sit he would be able to compensate for his lack of fitness by positioning himself well. Which he can do. But we have been chopping and changing so much he looks even more like a tired lost puppy. I think we just need accept that it is going to take him time to adjust in many different aspects. We are very far from being at a point we should worry, even if he will continue to be frustrating for a while longer.

He was causing the problems for Dier and Winks tonight he came back but then never pressured the man or the ball it was all a little half hearted in all honsesty. Even on the ball he was showboating and looking to knock immediately when we needed him to get on the ball. He has some talent but tonight he reminded me of a shit Dalmat in attitude and performance

Very disappointing performances overall. The guy is talented but you can’t make a PL career out of 5 minute cameos. Looks like he can’t be arsed. I’m sure someone will post it’s his groin or something. Maybe it’s a Johnson thing getting the way, hence the loping gait. Who the fuck knows. Thats 56 million quid down the toilet if he doesn’t get his fitness up.

For the umpteenth time that's not it though, is it. Tell me one player you can recall who 20 mins into the game has his hands on his knees gasping for breath (and then every couple of minutes thereafter), looks like he is about to keel over, cant run anymore and is then totally ineffective? I cant recall one. This was happening in pre-season, before any injuries, where he was also being excused games and on 'special training', and it's happening now over 6 months and a new manager later.

It's been more of an issue than someone getting up to speed and/or adjusting with the Premier League or being a bit a bit rusty after an injury lay off and not quite able to go the full 90. We all want him to fulfil the talent we have seen in glimpses, but the amount of people who confuse and explain away what's been an obviously serious ongoing issue and truth be told a bit of a clusterfuck of a situation for a record signing is pretty bizarre, to me at least.
He has completed 90 mins a lot during his career though so unless you are suggesting for a giggle he decided that he would fuck off the cardio since joining your point is bollocks.

He has had a number of issues which they have been trying not to exacerbate. His special training program is probably building up strength in certain areas to make him less likely to get repeating injuries.

Our whole team has looked knackered all season as they have played an awful lot of football over the last couple of years and have been met with gruelling training camps. Ndombele needs time, that’s time to build strength and stamina back up, to get match fit, to learn how Mourinho wants him to play, and have confidence that he can fully throw himself about without picking up yet another injury.

If that’s lad looks the same way in a year, come back and we can talk, until then people need to stop being cock jackets about him. The irony is that half the people criticising his fitness are probably mouth breathing before they get to the top of a flight of stairs

He isn’t fit enough. I think he can be great but his performance yesterday was borderline embarrassing- off the pace and looked disinterested. Whether I or anyone else is mouth breathing before reaching the top of the stairs isn’t ironic and is totally irrelevant. I’m not paid to be a premier league footballer. He may have finished more games (but not that many if I recall correctly) in Ligue Un but the PL is tougher

We are playing a different game now, a game where we have 40% possession and chasing the ball for the majority of the match.

I don't think he is going to suit Mourinho tactics, which is a shame because he is a type of player Tottenham love.

How long do you think Hoddle would have lasted under Mourinho?

Even Hazard struggled to stay in a Mourinho team.

The price for success eh....

think we are being a bit harsh on him

we were like a headless chook last night and he was being played out of position, he's not match fit, we know this

it wasn't to long ago we were saying the same thing about GLC and some were contemplating not signing him after his loan then he got fit and had a good run of games and surprise surprise, we saw what he could do and he is one of our best players

if Ndomble can get fit and have a similar run in his proper position I've no doubt he will be just as good

I think we are going to have to be patient. This season I will give him as there’s been a change in regimes. He needs a proper pre season. He’s still a very useful player for us.

We have to give him the benefit of the doubt but last night was embarrassing. I’m a big fan of his talent but his off the ball work and work rate was atrocious. It was actually so so poor. He just looked like he couldn’t be fucked.

He still got the shot off that led to our first goal so it wasn't all bad. But yea he needs some intense programe in pre season.

People are going well OTT, he had a poor game but that's the first one where he's looked out of his depth, he's probably lacking match fitness which will come if he can get a run of games. Lo Celso looked pretty underwhelming until about 3 weeks ago, give Ndombele time.

I wonder how many times our scouts watched him. Apparently we watched Steve all last season and some of the one before that. If we’d of watched Ndombele for as long his fitness and ability to complete 90 minutes or not It must of been flagged up. If it was, then surely we wouldn’t of spent £60 million on him. We’ve never spent that before or will probably for a while. Maybe that’s part of the problem, he’s on a huge wage (reportedly £200k a week) and thinks he’s made it?

Either way, if he isn’t sorted out by the end of the season then I think we have a decision to make. We can’t afford to have a £60 million albatross around our necks.
