He’s only going to get better once we settle the starting 11. Once we find our holding midfielder (or Dier gets healthy/fit/back to top form) and play them along side Lo Celso it’s going to be one of the best midfields in the world.

Was excellent tonight, starting to feel comfortable in the team I think.

Can see him snapping his own ankles in the future with them turns he does.

On the train home and I’ve finally seen enough to know that he’ll be a great player for us. Some will say opposition was weak but i think it wasn’t relevant as no one got near him as he played 90% of his passes first or second touch. He looked a different player to what I’ve seen so far. Outstanding and my best feeling from tonight’s game. His awareness was so good. 19-15-20 yard incisive forward passed Played very quickly was what created the space for players to run beyond Kane. Very happy

Also liked his link up with dier, when dier came on as well as everything else he did

Dier wasn't afraid to pass balls forward to him through midfield which was nice to see.

Reminded me of Dier never being afraid to pass it to Dembele as he knew Dembele would always come out with the ball

As others have said, he looked much fitter tonight

I don't think I've seen a midfielder with his combination of flair, technique, and power. Not in a while, at least.

I did some quick perusing of stats and keeping in mind age of players, the only players in the Big 5 Leagues putting up remotely close defensive actions/90 like Sandro did back then under the age of 25:

Wilfried Ndidi
Declan Rice
Philip Billing
Konrad Laimer (RB Leipzig)
Baptiste Santamaria (Angers)
Habib Maiga (Metz)
Eduardo Camavinga (Rennes) - I think we've been linked to him. He's only 16 (!!!!) years old and is already putting up Ndombele like numbers. Playing frequently in a midfield 2, but looks to have quite the future ahead of him.

That kid outplayed the entire midfield of PSG singlehandedly earlier this season. Bright, bright future.

That’s the (Tan)guy we saw at Lyon. Coveted by many teams, and seemingly one of the most promising players in Europe. Took a while, but let’s see if he can keep it going. I liked how urgent he waswith the ball. Kept the play moving quickly. No slowing down. I think Lo Celso is similar. Our midfield has been screaming out for players such as these. I hope Lo Celso gets fully fit soon, as we will be a considerably better side with them in the starting XI.

Him and GLC with Dier or Sissoko protecting when we come up against good team (but we've been making most teams look good lately:cry:)

Then against average teams/bus parkers, him and GLC with Kane Alli Son Lamela in attack

The way his torso seems to be on a swivel and his arms and legs seem to be able to go in all directions at once reminds me of Okocha back in the day....

or some kind of terrifying hominid monster.
